My name is Tony I have a blue nose pit bull that’s 4 years old. I’ve had a few dogs growing up some where my moms some where my grandmas but I’ve been around dogs since I was a baby. I know all the things you need to know about what dogs can and can’t eat and signs that dogs give to express how they are feeling and what calms them when they are scared or have anxiety. So I have a strong care for dogs and like being around them.

Tarzana is a heavily populated neighborhood in the Los Angeles area of California. If you are traveling with your dog through Tarzana or considering moving here, you will find plenty of outdoor activities that will keep your dog’s tail wagging and his sniffer sniffing all day, every day! There are three animal hospitals, all on the northern side of town, that will help you keep your dog happy and healthy while you are in Tarzana. The city was named after the famous fictional character Tarzan, so don’t be surprised if your dog starts trying to climb a tree or two to fit in!
The neighborhood is largely residential, but you will find plenty of open parks that you can visit with your dog. A leash is a must here, unless you are spending time in your own fenced-in yard. Corbin Canyon Park is just one of many outdoor oases that you can enjoy with your pup during your stay in this unique California town. While the neighborhood is small, there are many people and dogs that can be found on the roads and sidewalks, especially during peak traffic hours. Always err on the side of safety when it comes to you and your dog.
North Tarzana is the pawfect place to hang your hat and your leash for a night. If you are exploring property in this area, be sure to consider properties close to many of the local green spaces. This will allow you to enjoy your afternoon walks with your dog without having to journey very far. If you are just passing through Tarzana, make sure you keep your clean-up bags with you. Many of the outdoor areas are public spaces, and the next dog will want to enjoy it as much as your pup does. The Tarzana Recreation Center is a popular destination for many locals looking for a pretty place to relax.
West Tarzana is largely covered by greenery and residential streets. The Corbin Mullholland Trail begins in the forests here and stretches just outside the city’s edge. Your dog will love the landscape and terrain for any breed found on the west side of town. Make sure you bring a harness if you plan on hiking the trails, and keep your dog safely leashed during your visit. You will want to have extra drinking water for both you and your dog if you plan on spending the day on the trails. A pop-up bowl is a great way to make sure you have easy drinking access for your dog; just don’t expect him to share!
Central Tarzana is home to many open green areas surrounded by beautiful homes with perfectly manicured lawns. These lawns attract all manner of birds and small wildlife that your dog will be mesmerized watching while you stroll around town. Don’t forget to bring your favorite, most comfortable walking leash, as your pup won’t want to take a break from sniffing and wagging all over town for quite a while. You will need your cleanup bags while making your way through residential streets, and don’t be surprised to see another dog or two walking with their humans during the mornings and early afternoons.
East Tarzana is situated right along the Caballero Creek. This creek is a great spot for dogs and their humans to take a relaxing walk or settle in for a serene picnic. You can access the creek from many street pull-offs, or the grounds of El Caballero Country Club. Your dog should stay on leash here, as the roads are not far off from the banks. Your dog will appreciate extra treats and plenty of clean drinking water whether you are visiting the creek or taking a walk through the neighborhoods surrounding the country club. While dogs are not permitted on the grounds, there are plenty of sidewalks around the perimeter for you and Sparky to enjoy.
South Tarzana is a beautiful place to call home for both residents and visitors who have only just arrived! You will immediately be struck by the green that surrounds you as you and your dog make your way through this ethereal wonderland of sights and smells and tail-wagging paths through the neighborhood. The Marvin Broad Mullholland Gateway Park is both an eyeful to say and to visit! The park is full of trails, streams, and trees that will have you wondering what kept you away for so long. Just make sure you have a good leash and plenty of waste bags so you can keep your pup safe and the park clean during your visit.
