Winnetka is a small neighborhood in the San Fernando Valley within the city of Los Angeles. Founded in 1922, Winnetka was once a small farming community, but is famous today as one of most culturally diverse neighborhoods within the city of Los Angeles. Due to the size of Winnetka, there is only one veterinarian clinic within the neighborhood limits, but there is a plethora of veterinarians in the surrounding neighborhoods to help keep your pup healthy and happy.

Winnetka is home to some great parks that you can take your furry friend to for a great afternoon out. Check out Runnymede Park and let your dog enjoy the fun smells and adventures he can go on. Runnymede Park is a whopping 58-acres of beautiful nature that includes a native plant garden with over 100 different types of flowers, plants and wildlife. The park is open from dawn until dusk for hiking and picnicing, and it has two picnic shelters and a paved trail for a pawsome afternoon.

Although Winnetka is a small neighborhood, it is in the greater Los Angeles area where there are tons of things nearby that you and your pup can do. Less than ten minutes away from Winnetka is Lake Balboa/ Antony C. Beilenson Park which is a fantastic park to visit. This park features amazing amenities, like a jogging path to walk Fido on, picnic tables, restrooms, and a multipurpose sports field which is perfect for fetch. Lake Balboa/ Anthony C. Beilenson Park is open from sunrise to sunset, which gives you more then enough time to explore and have a fun time.
