Lums Pond
One of the best features of the Lums Pond neighborhood is the popular Lums Pond Dog Park. Fido will love socializing with other pups in the off-leash area surrounded by tall grasses. There's also access to a pond if your pooch loves to swim. Many local residents frequent the park, so you and your pup will always feel welcome and ready to play a game of fetch or frisbee. Your pup can get a cool drink at the water fountain. Make sure to clean up after your pooch with the convenient doggie waste stations. After spending time in the dog park area, venture out into the surrounding Lums Pond Park to walk along the trails and admire nature.

Becks Pond
A great area to spend time with your pup in the Beck’s Pond neighborhood is the Beck’s Pond Park. The fishing pier and kid’s playground is perfect when planning an afternoon with the family, and your pup will enjoy rolling around in the grass and sniffing all the trees. You and Fido can relax at one of the picnic tables and enjoy a snack before walking laps around the area and breathing in the fresh air. If you are looking for a fun place to enjoy a meal, Buffalo Wild Wings features dog-friendly outdoor tables where you can eat some wings and watch the game. You might also want to check out Saladworks where you and your pup can try some tasty soups and salads at one of the five outdoor tables.

Glendale Park
The Glendale Park neighborhood features nice family homes with large yards for spending time with your pooch. When Fido needs some extra exercise, you can take a walk down to the Glendale Park and walk along the quiet and peaceful path. There is a grassy area where your pooch can romp and roll and have a snifftastic time. If you need a treat after spending time at the park, head over to Sweet Frog Frozen Yogurt. There are several dog-friendly tables outside the restaurant where you and your pup can relax and enjoy the afternoon sun.

Glasgow
The Glasgow neighborhood is located about six miles southwest of Bear in Glasgow, and features the Glasgow Regional Park. There are two off-leash areas in the park where both large and small dogs can run around and romp and play. In addition to the dog park, there is a 2.75-mile paved path where you can walk with your pooch on a leash. After spending some time at the park, you might want to treat Fido to an ice-cream cone at Bruster’s Real Ice Cream where your pup gets a free sundae with dog bones on top! If you are looking for a place to eat a meal in Glasgow, McGlynns Pub is a casual restaurant with eight pooch-friendly tables.
Iron Hill
The Iron Hill Dog Park is located about six miles west of Bear in the Iron Hill neighborhood of Newark. This off-leash park is a popular destination for dog lovers all over the area. You will enjoy the separate spaces for large and small pups, and the park is kept very clean. The shaded benches offer a spot for pooch owners to sit and relax while the dogs socialize and sniff butts. Canine’s and their owners spend hours at the park enjoying the exercise and fresh air. Fido will love the doggie water fountain and the doggie waste station makes it easy to clean up after your pup. If you need a place to stay in the area, Courtyard Newark-University welcomes pups for an additional fee.
