Sans Souci
Sans Souci is a fantastic neighborhood set right next to Biscayne Bay, and you should definitely consider stopping by with your dog because there’s so much to do! The neighborhood has two great parks. One is Alfred Basade Park, a small but fun park located on the east side of the neighborhood. Another option is North Bayshore Park; this park has a small path and some benches but note that dogs are not allowed on the fishing platform. Sans Souci also has some restaurants that offer dog-friendly outdoor seating. Zaika Indian Cuisine is a local favorite for authentic and flavorful Indian food.

Biscayne Corridor
Biscayne Corridor borders Keystone Islands on its east side, and it is a great neighborhood to visit for a promenade with your pooch or a delicious meal. Walk down 16th Avenue to get a feel for Biscayne Corridor; as you walk you will pass by two scenic bodies of water, Little Arch Creek and Emerald Lake. Tijuana Flats on Biscayne Boulevard serves Tex-Mex cuisine that will delight your taste buds. Both restaurants have dog-friendly outdoor seating, so you can feel the warm Florida air with your furry friend by your side. You'd have to be barking mad not to check this Fido-friendly neighborhood out!

Miami Shores Southwest
The southwest neighborhood of Miami Shores is bordered by Miami Avenue and 2nd Avenue, and it is a wonderful place to take a relaxing stroll with your dog and enjoy the beautiful Florida weather. You will find Miami Shores Village Memorial Park on 2nd avenue. This is a small park spanning under a block, but it has benches and a nice shaded lawn with a paved path making it a good place to stop by if you are exploring the neighborhood. If you continue down 2nd avenue, you’ll find lots of small shops and cafés, as well as the local library.

Miami Shores East
Miami Shores East spans from 90th street in the north to 82nd street in the south. It is a neighborhood best explored on foot, as it features a relaxing atmosphere of suburban, tree-lined blocks. The community here is also one of the friendliest in the area, and you’re sure to bump into some locals walking their dogs at Military Trail Park. It is a modest community park that encompasses about half a block, and it is well-shaded by beautiful trees and lined with benches where you and your furry friend can rest your legs and enjoy the warm coastal breeze.

Little River
The neighborhood of Little River is one of the best locations in the Miami Shores area for dog owners because it is the home of Legion Memorial Dog Park. The fenced-in, off-leash dog park has separate areas for large and small dogs and is surrounded by Legion Park. Legion Park is over seven acres and features walking paths, benches, and a pavilion. You can also find some great dining options in Little River that provide outdoor seating to accommodate dogs, including Dogma Grill, a pawesome place that specializes in beef, turkey, and veggie hot dogs with a variety of creative toppings!
