Southeast Valdosta
A quick 11-minute drive from Dasher, Scott Park is pawfect for high-energy doggos who love to walk or jog. This 28-acre park in nearby Valdosta houses a paved walking path with lights and painted lanes; if you and Fido go around it 3.8 times, you'll have covered a mile. Drinking fountains can be found on-site in case you forget your water bottles at home, as are picnic shelters and benches that provide spots for resting your tired feet and paws. Scott Park's other amenities include a covered stage, multi-purpose field, football field with bleachers, tennis courts, outdoor basketball courts, and restrooms.

Mary Street
Drexel Park in the neighboring city of Valdosta is a furrific place to spend a beautiful day with your canine companion. About 8 miles northwest of Dasher, Drexel is one of the most used parks in the county. As you and Fido stroll around this shaded, 11-acre site, you'll come across a wooden bridge over a creek, as well as various indigenous plants. If you and your pup are up for a longer walk, you can hit the Azalea City Trail, an urban, 2.7-mile trail that winds through central Valdosta.

McKey Park
Head out 10 miles northwest of Dasher to McKey Park in nearby Valdosta for some fun with the family! Of course, family includes four-legged members, and this park welcomes doggos as long as they stay on a leash and are cleaned up after. McKey is home to the popular Harry B. Anderson Tennis Center, which consists of 12 tennis courts, as well as two large playgrounds that are divided by a creek and connected by a wooden bridge. Ample green space and an adjacent walking track make McKey Park a puptastic spot to go for a leashed walk with your doggo.

Freedom Park
Located near the Moody Air Force Base, Freedom Park is aptly named for it houses a dog park where canines are free to romp off-leash. There are three fenced sections for large, small, and all dogs, with more than enough room for everyone to run around. Water fountains and waste bags are provided for your convenience, and there are lots of agility equipment to keep the pups busy and really tire them out. See if you can get your pooch to go over the jumps and A-frames! The 250-acre Freedom Park is a 15-minute drive from Dasher and well worth the trip!
