If you are lucky enough to live in or near Duluth, Georgia you have access to one of the best dog parks in the area: the Chattapoochee Dog Park. This park is just as fun and festive as its name! This dog park has everything your furry friend could ever ask for. It has plenty of open spaces, trails and even a pool where dogs can swim and cool off. Furthermore, the park has plenty of toys, water fountains, bathrooms and other amenities. Chattapoochee Dog Park is one of the best places for you to spend an evening with your furry friend.

Although there are no dog parks in the south-most area of Duluth, you will find two beautiful parks. First, head to the Shorty Howell Park. This 67-acre dog park is home to many sports fields, playgrounds and open grassy fields. Furthermore, make sure you take a leash to the park as it is not an off-leash park. When you’ve walked for hours in the Shorty Howell Park, make your way to McDaniel Farm Park. Located within many commercial buildings, this park is nothing short of extraordinary. You will often see Duluth residents taking photos at this historic site because of its natural beauty.

Located merely 6 miles from Duluth is Norcross, Georgia. This neighborhood is home to the Pinckeyville Dog Park. It has a large grassy open area with many doggie obstacles where your dog can play. It also has plenty of balls that all dogs are allowed to play with. Furthermore, the dog park is not split into zones so it may not be suitable for dogs that have not been socialized. Not every park has to be an off-leash park for you and your furry friend to have a furtastic time. At less than 10 minutes away from Duluth is Central Norcross where you will find Thrasher Park. This park has plenty of space for you and your dog to walk, run and play in. It also has many places under the shade to sit and relax under the shade for lazy dogs and tired dog walkers. The park is also in extremely close proximity to many restaurants where you can grab a quick bite to eat after you spend time in the park.

This park is nothing short of beautiful. The park has two large enclosed areas: one for big dogs and one for small dogs. Both enclosures have water fountains, doggie poop bags and trash bags. Furthermore, the dog park has lots of open space for dogs to run and play without a leash. Just make sure you take something to eat or read, because you will have a tough time getting your furry friend to go home!
