The City of Roswell was founded by Roswell King, who came from St. Simons Island, Georgia in 1836. It officially became a city on February 16, 1854. Due to its low crime rate, the city has been ranked one of the safest cities to live in the United States according to City Crime Rankings.

There is an off-leash area for dogs in the Leita Thompson Memorial Park in Roswell, Georgia with enough space for your dog to run around the park. Depending on your dog’s size, he can be placed in one of the two designated areas. There are shaded areas with benches and water fountains for you and your pup. After all the fun in the park, you can also cool down by walking on the trail. Just be mindful in cleaning up after your dog.

Just right next to Leita Thompson Memorial Park is the Mountain Park Dog Park. If you're scared of little Fido getting trampled, don't worry, there are two areas separated out for large and small dogs, which are also open. You can certainly bring your family as well as your furry family member for some leisurely walk in their trial. Plus, there is a lake behind it too. Roswell, Georgia is a safe place to live for you and your dogs, and most definitely fun too!

You’ll just need to bring some doggie waste bags along for the pawfect day out! Keep in mind that your pal is welcome outside the dog park area, but he must be on a leash if he wants to explore the rest of the park with you. The larger park offers a nice walking trail, as well as a creek, although it isn’t clear whether or not dogs are allowed to play in the water.
