Jackson is a lovely city located in the middle of Butts County, Georgia. The town is most known for being home to the show "Stranger Things," which has attracted tons of tourists, making this quiet little town a bit busier. There are two veterinarians in town where you can take your fluffy friend to get a check-up.

Explore the High Falls State Park with your pup to enjoy this 1,050-acre space. This beautiful park contains the largest waterfall in Georgia, as well as, a 650-acre lake. The park offers a picnic area, campsites, shade shelters, and a swimming pool. Take a hike on the 4.5-mile trail that goes throughout the park but make sure to keep your pup on a leash while you are visiting. 

Grab a bite to eat together at the Fresh Air Barbeque. This casual joint offers tons of delicious options like pulled pork, sandwiches, and barbeque plates. Their outdoor patio is the perfect place to chow down on a great meal while Fido begs for a bite.

There is a 3.25-mile trail that you two can take a hike on and get a good day of exercise in while visiting. While at this park make sure to keep your furry pal on a leash. The Dauset Trails Nature Center is a pawsome area to visit with Fido. There are over 20-miles of trails that you and your dog can hike along, as long as you keep your pup on a leash. The Dauset Trails Nature Center is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, and it is free to explore with your dog. Make sure to bring water and clean-up bags along with you when you come and visit.
