Griffin City Center

City Park is the central attraction of Griffin, with over 200 acres of green space for whole-family fun. Your pup will love visiting here with you, with ball fields, a lake and plenty of shady trees to rest under. There are several roads and paved walking trails through here, making for a great place for some fresh air and exercise. Pack yourself some lunch and water for you both, and take some time exploring this lovely outdoor space. As this is a public park, you will need to keep your dog on the lead and bring your clean up bags.

Solomon St/ N Hill Rd

This is the place to go in Griffin for some great pup-friendly food options. Safehouse Coffee Roasters has four outdoor tables that welcome furry friends. Relax and enjoy a hot cuppa at this modern coffeehouse, and maybe even a sample of their fresh pastries. Banks Café is another great place to perch outside with pup for a drink and nice meal. If you are after something a little more rustic, head to nearby Slices Pizza. While you are in the town centre, take some time to explore the area and do a little window shopping with your buddy.

Harbor Loop

Northwest of Griffin is the town of Peachtree City, where you will find the Peachtree City Dog Park. Here, your pup has the chance to run off-leash and socialise with other furry friends in one of the three separate fenced areas. There is ample seating and shade available for you to relax wile Fido runs off some energy, and clean up bags are provided on-site. There is also water available and a paved path with close parking for easy accessibility. This is a fantastic place to visit, and well worth making the little trip from Griffin. Your dog will thank you for it!

Chambers Rd/ Jonesboro Rd

Directly north of Griffin is Hampton, where your pooch is sure to have a pawsome time at the North Mt. Carmel Bark Park. The large area has two separate fenced areas for your pup to play, with agility equipment for him to work on his skills and enjoy being off-lead while you take five on one of the benches or under the trees. There are doggie drinking fountains and clean up bags available, so all you need to remember is a water bottle for you and some snacks! After pup’s play, take a walk around one of the adjacent nature trails together for a bit of on-lead bonding time.

Lake Dow

McDonough, a little drive north of Griffin, has another fantastic dog park well worth visiting. The dog park at Alexander Park has two fenced areas, one for the little pups and one for the bigger guys and gals. There is agility equipment provided and plenty of space, so your furry buddy is guaranteed to tucker himself out running, jumping and meeting new friends. There is water available and a wash station to rinse your pooch off before moving on. Alexander Park also has a paved walking path where you can take you pup for a walk on-lead. This is a beautiful area, with plenty of trees and a creek running through the park.
