Peachtree City Center

Peachtree City, Georgia is a city of more than 35,000 people, and it's less than 20 miles west of Hampton. Right in the heart of Peachtree City sits the PTC Dog Park, and you don't want to miss this off-leash space! The PTC Dog Park is a 3.2-acre dog park with three separate sections, water fountains, and waste disposal supplies. There's one space for small dogs, another for big dogs, and a third section all dogs are welcome in, but it's particularly used for uncertain dogs who are just getting used to the park. PTC Dog Park is open seven days a week from dawn to dusk, and it charges a $1 entry fee per visit or a yearly membership.

Camp Drive

The Canine Crossing Dog Park in College Park, Georgia, is 30 miles northwest of Hampton. Located in the deep southwestern quadrant of College Park, this off-leash park is the largest one in South Fulton County. The dog park is five acres, and it includes a section for dogs over 25 pounds, as well as a section for smaller dogs. This well-maintained dog park includes lots of green grass to run around in, as well as play tunnels and fire hydrants. There are also covered pavilions, dog water fountains, benches, and to make it an even more enjoyable experience for humans, there are even covered swings in the park!

Atlanta Street

Alexander Park is a 12.5-acre city park in McDonough, Georgia, that's just ten miles from Hampton. It's located in northern McDonough, and Alexander Park includes sports fields, picnic pavilions, a playground, a paved walking path, and an off-leash park known as the Alexander Park Bark Park! This spacious dog park includes sections for big and small dogs, and it even has an agility course where talented doggos can show off their skills. This park is constantly being improved, so keep an eye out for new features. Your dog can join you for a walk or jog on the 0.3-mile walking trail, but they're required to be on a leash.

Panola Mountain

Stockbridge, Georgia is just over 20 minutes from Hampton, and in the northernmost area of Stockbridge is Panola Mountain State Park. Panola Mountain is a 100-acre granite structure, and the Panola Mountain State Park sits on more than 1,600 acres of land. This space includes two lakes, campgrounds, a nature center, an amphitheater, playgrounds, archery, and other recreational activities. With more than 25 miles of trails to explore in the park, it's also a wonderful place to visit with your dog. Your dog is welcome to join you on these hiking trails, but they must be on a leash at all times.

Arabia Mountain National Heritage Area

The Arabia Mountain Trailhead is a little more than 20 miles from Hampton, in southern Lithonia. Arabia Mountain Trail is a 12.4-mile multi-use concrete trail that goes through De Kalb and Rockdale counties. Your dog can join you for an on-leash walk on Arabia Mountain Trail, and the two of you will come across waterfalls, wildflowers, rivers, and other beautiful sights. This trail is part of a network of 1,600 trails across America that were created from abandoned railway lines. These trails stretch across the United States and provide recreational opportunities like dog walking, running, inline skating, and hiking to those who use it.
