North Saint Anthony
This area is home to some furrific parks, so get ready for a day of park hopping with your pup. Start your excursion at Cedar View Park. It’s a pretty low key park with only a large grassy field, but it gives your pooch plenty of room to play and sniff. When he’s ready to go, make your way over to Boyd Yancey Memorial Park for more open lawn. Shade trees outline this park, so spread out a blanket and hang out for a while. Skater’s Haven is another pawsome park. Don’t be fooled by the name. While it is the local skate park, it also has a paved walking path.

South Saint Anthony
Is your dog itching for a walk? Grab her leash and head over to Henry’s Fork Greenway. This paved path runs alongside Henry’s Fork of the Snake River. Your pal can trot happily along the trail while enjoying the warm sun on her back. Trees and shrubs line the path and provide a home for small critters and birds. Keep your eyes open for local wildlife. This is a multiuse trail, so expect to see cyclists, joggers, and of course, other dog walkers. Don’t forget to bring water; all that walking will leave your pooch begging for a cold drink!

Sugar City
Drive 10 minutes southwest of Saint Anthony and you’ll come to the quiet town of Sugar City. Although it is on the smaller side, it as a couple parks that will make your pup’s tail wag. Smith Park has a couple ball fields and a playground, but the best part about this park is the large grassy area. Your pup will love frolicking around in the open space. Right across the street is Mayor’s Park. With more lawn to investigate and trees to sniff, this place will keep your pooch busy. Bring a sandwich and a couple biscuits for your pal and stay for lunch.

Rexburg City Center
Looking for a new place to walk your canine buddy? Head over to the nearby town of Rexburg and stop by the Nature Park. Only 20 minutes southwest of Saint Anthony, this beautiful park is well work a visit. Your pooch will appreciate the tranquility of the area as you walk around the paved path. A pond sits in the middle of the park, so expect to see ducks and geese. Fishing is available. If you are feeling lucky, bring a pole and cast a line. This area is also home to the Teton River Trail. Follow this trail for a pupperific waterfront view.

Henderson
If your dog is ready for some fresh air, clip on his leash and head over to Rexburg. It’s located only 20 minutes from Saint Anthony and is home to a few parks that will make your pooch happy. Not only does Porter Park have a playground, sport courts, and picnic facilities, it also has wide open grassy fields and a paved path. Walk a couple laps around the park to get your pal’s heart rate going. For a change of scenery, stop by Evergreen Park. Take a spin around the park’s perimeter, or just let your dog romp around the grass. Either way, he’ll have a woofin’ good time!
