The village of Golf in Cook County covers half a square mile, and has a population of just under 500. Although it is tiny, it still has plenty to offer visiting pups. This area is rich in woodland areas to explore and pup-friendly parks to play at, and is less than 20 miles north of Chicago.

which runs right through the woodland areas of Golf. This paved trail runs
almost 20 miles from Northbrook north of Golf, to Chicago in the south. You
need to keep your dog on a lead here, but it is an easy path with plenty to see
along the way, and you can choose to wander as far as you like. As always when
venturing out on a hike, go prepared with your water, any snacks you might
like, and your clean up bags.
Deiderich Park in town is another great little green space to catch some fresh air with your dog. You can go for an on-lead walk around the park, or just stretch out on the grass and watch the world go by. From here, take a walk through the town of Golf and check out the historic buildings and shops. You and your dog are sure to enjoy your time here in Golf.
