This town rests right along the North Shore and attracts its own tourist population throughout the year looking for rest, relaxation, and photo opportunities! You will see residents and tourists alike walking their dogs throughout the town each day, so your dog won’t ever be lacking in new friends! There are five animal hospitals in Glencoe, which makes your task of finding reliable and passionate care for your dog easy regardless of where you live in town. The staff will do all they can for your pup, whether he needs a checkup or an emergency visit.

There are two dog-friendly restaurants in Glencoe that attract the tourist population. Locals love these restaurants for their dog-friendly patios. Frank and Betsie’s Restaurant is a great low-key eatery where you can get a variety of food with your doggie date. Little Red Hen Restaurant serves up delicious American fare with a local twist that will have your own tail wagging with your dogs! You will need to keep your dog on a leash while visiting these restaurants, but the staff are more than accommodating if you need some water or even a hand to hold your leash while you run to the restroom!

You will also find Mary Mix Mcdonald Woods is not only a fun name to say, but a fun park to visit on a weekend. The Skokie River runs throughout the neighborhood and provides sparkling waters that are pawfect for a selfie stop with your dog. You will need a towel for those doggie shakes after a run through the river and plenty of waste bags to help keep the green areas clean for the next pup.

From the many marinas to Glencoe Beach, the great views of the water make East Glencoe the pawfect spot for dog lovers and water lovers to enjoy their afternoons and weekends in a serene location. You will find plenty of room to spread out a towel or a blanket while your dog sniffs around. Just be ready to clean up after Sparky, and keep a dry towel on hand if your dog loves the water.

They are all well-tended and loved by dog walkers throughout the town. You will find Linden Park is a wonderful spot for a game of fetch. Nick Corwin Park is a pupperific park for a long walk or a short stroll depending on how much time you have. Shelton Park is a quiet place pawfect for reading a book on the grass or just taking in the fresh air after a long day at work while your dog stretches out in the field.
