Central Liberal

Central Liberal is the busiest neighborhood in the city, and home to the main shopping districts of the area with lots of small businesses. Among the crowded streets, dog walkers can enjoy heading to Mary Frame Park, an 8-acre area with a paved trail that encircles the park, lots of shade, and an open space for running around and playing. The park has a playground, water fountains, a pavilion, picnic tables, trash bins, and clean-up stations an available for leashed pups. Tower Park is just north, and has a larger open area to run around in that is completely fenced-in. Although enclosed, dogs still have to remain on a leash and you will have to bring water and clean-up bags.

South Liberal

South Liberal is a neighborhood filled with busy streets and rows of residential homes, backed by miles of farmland. The Southlawn Park is the best place to get out and enjoy some open space to run around freely with Fido. The park has space for fetch, running around, or learning some new tricks, with amenities like water fountains, fenced-in tennis courts, a playground, benches, and trash bins. McCray Park is another park in the neighborhood that features .8 miles of paved pathways available for walking. Inside the looping trail is a playground, a pavilion, and trees for shade. Dogs must remain on a leash inside both parks.

Western Liberal

Western Liberal is best known for the town's airport, residential homes, and some shopping centers. In the center of the neighborhood is the Harrison Circle Park. The park is small, but is completely covered in trees, and featrues a small playground and swing area, water fountains, and benches. Dogs will enjoy the shaded area to run around in, especially during the summer! Redskin Field is another dog-friendly park in the city that has two large football stadiums. Although dogs are not welcome in the stadium, pups can play in the open space around the fields and have access to paved walkways, water fountains, and benches while they remain on a leash.

North Liberal

North Liberal has some great small businesses and a large suburban area outside the center of town. Inside the neighborhood is Light Park, a large and well-kept park that has plenty of things to do inside it. There is a large multi-use trail for biking and walking, and a smaller trail that loops the park. There are enclosed tennis courts, an adventure water park for kids, a playground, and picnic shelter that is dog-friendly The open space and scattered trees provide shade and lots of areas to run around in, and is dog-friendly to leashed pups. Additional amenities include water fountains, trash bins, nighttime lights, clean-up stations, and benches.

Kismet

The town of Kismet is a small one, with less than 500 people. It's 18 miles northeast of Liberal and offers the next closest park for residents, which is called Kismet Park. The park has scenic views of the surrounding farmland, with well-kept grassy terrain and a looping trail that has a distance of .9 miles. There are two soccer fields, open space, an enclosed baseball fields, tennis and basketball courts, a pavilion, and picnic tables. The area is dog-friendly and doesn't require for pups to remain on a leash, and provides access to features like water fountains, benches, and trash bins.
