Hike through the area with your furry friend to take in a piece of history. Bring lunch with you and share a meal under the gazebo here. Keep your pooch on a leash and under control. Remember to bring waste bags and clean up any droppings.

Hillcrest Ave/Prospect Ave

The neighborhood around Hillcrest Avenue and Prospect Avenue is a residential area with primarily single-family homes. This is a quiet spot to take your pup for a walk around the block. When you want to go camping with your fur baby, head about 16 miles east to Gunsmoke RV Park by Dodge City. This facility includes tent and RV sites and offers free wireless service. Enjoy nights around the firepit here in a country atmosphere. Dogs are welcome to join you as long as you keep them on a leash and under control. Remember to clean up your special pal's droppings.

Lakeview

The Lakeview neighborhood is nestled between an area lake and the high school. For your daily exercise, enjoy a walk around the block here with your pup. If you'd like to share a picnic in the park with your four-footed pal, you can head about 6.5 miles to Ingalls Community Park. This small property has a playground, tables, and some open space. Play ball with your pup and share a meal outdoors here. Make sure you keep your fur baby on a leash and under control while visiting the park. Pack waste bags so that you can clean up any droppings.

Downtown Cimarron

Downtown Cimarron includes residential streets and a commercial area. Some of the streets here are lined with sidewalks where you and your canine companion can take a walk. When you want to get away for a weekend or more but don't want to leave your special pal behind, head east about 19 miles to Water Sports Campground on the east side of Dodge City. This facility has tent and RV sites and is pet friendly. Enjoy hiking in the area with your four-footed friend. Remember to keep your dog on a leash and to immediately clean up after him when you stay here.

Cimarron Crossing

Cimarron Crossing, on the north end of town, is a mixed neighborhood with single-family homes, some industry, and small businesses. You'll find some quiet blocks in the area where you can take a stroll with your pooch. Head to Cimarron Crossing Park by the river to get some fresh air and exercise with your canine pal. This facility has a playground, some ballfields, open spaces, and a walking trail. Go for a walk or jog around the park with Spot, then have a picnic together here. Make sure you keep your fur baby on a leash and clean up his waste.
