Goddard is a city and a suburb of Wichita in Sedgwick County, Kansas. Almost 5,000 people call this city in south-central Kansas home, and as one of the fastest growing cities in the state, that number continues to rise. Goddard was first incorporated in the 1800s when most of the activity in the town was on Main Street, but today, there are plenty of areas of Goddard to explore, and its proximity to big cities in Kansas means there's always something to do, and many of these activities are dog-friendly!
In a little more than 20 minutes, you and your pooch can drive from Goddard to the Northeast Heights area of Wichita. The Kansas Humane Society is located in this area, and right next to the Humane Society is the Murfin Animal Care Campus Dog Park. This large dog park is divided into sections for large and small dogs, and there are benches throughout the park. This park is free to use, and throughout the park, you'll find waste receptacles and bags. There is a water fountain at the park too, so you'll have everything you need for a great visit. Goddard is a nice place for dogs and their owners to live, and you'll enjoy getting to know the area with your canine companion.
