At one acre in size, the dog run in Andover Central Park might not be the largest in the area, but it’d still be a huge faux paw not to visit! There’s still plenty of room here to run around in, or for a spirited game of catch or tug-of-war. Fitter furry friends might enjoy the doggy obstacle course made up of logs and boulders, and tired dog owners will certainly appreciate the benches. Waste bags and water are both provided, but there’s no separate small dog area, so be mindful of your pup’s temperament.

If your pooch likes long walks, they’ll go off the rails for Andover’s very own Redbud Trail! Part of the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, this old stretch of the former Burlington North Santa Fe Railway Line runs all the way from Andover to Wichita -- bringing the total length to a whopping 11.5 miles. There’s no need to get steamed up about the distance, though -- there are several trailheads along the route, so no matter how far you’re willing to go, you’ll find the Redbud Trail is just the ticket. Be sure to bring your own bags and water!

The Murfin Animal Care Campus Dog Park is supported by the Kansas Humane Society, so you know it was designed with the needs of Wichita’s four-legged community in mind! This pawesome park has enough room for even the most energetic fur ball to leap about to their heart’s content. Unlike the park in Andover, this dog run has a separate area for smaller pups so your pooch can play and socialize no matter their size! Everything you need in terms of water and bags is provided on-site, but be careful -- the park isn’t very well-shaded, so you might want to avoid it on a hot day.

No bones about it, your pooch will go wild for a treat from Dog Treatery on N Jeanette Ave! You’re sure to find something here to make your pup sit up and beg -- they stock everything from healthy everyday rewards to more occasional indulgences, like peanut butter bones and carob chip cookies. Dog Treatery also makes cakes to order for special occasions, like gotcha days and birthdays, and they even sell special dog birthday hats! Afterward, your pup can burn it all off with a leashed walk around Oak Park. Don't forget to bring those waste bags!
Bel Aire

Bel Aire

Fetch Bistro in Bel Aire is so special it deserves its own entry! This locally owned gem is the pawfect place for you and your pooch to chow down. They allow dogs both inside and outside, so there’s no need to leave Rover outside while you order. Not only that, but they have a special doggy menu -- your pooch can choose from fabulously named dishes like Ham Barker Helper, Tummy Rub Surprise, and Furballs. The people food isn’t bad either -- Fetch does a great chicken fried steak, and the eggs benedict is a fantastic breakfast option.
