Best Dog Friendly Neighborhoods in St Cloud
Lake George
Lake George
The Lake George area of Saint Cloud is centered by beautiful, blue Lake George, and there are several sculptures, walking paths, and playgrounds in the surrounding area. Lake George is a popular spot for concerts and other outdoor productions. In the same area, you will find Wilson Park, which has an excellent fenced-in, off-leash area for dogs to run and play. The large park also has BBQ pits, sporting fields, playgrounds, and restrooms. Wilson Park is situated along the Mississippi River, so if your dog is a swimmer, this park will be their new favorite place. With all that's going on in the area, this is a wonderful place to spend a day with your family.
North Saint Cloud
North Saint Cloud
Residents of North Saint Cloud love how family-friendly it is and how peaceful and quiet the neighborhood tends to be. It's a good neighborhood for dog owners too, as this is where you will find the Whitney Park Dog Park. This park is located within a larger park, but the off-leash area is fenced in to keep your dogs safe. The park also provides some agility equipment and games, and there is plenty of shade on hot days as well as seating. You will also find several other paths and trails just outside of the park's boundaries that you may also wish to explore.
Naughtia
Naughtia
Naughtia is located in the western portion of Saint Cloud, and it covers a large section of land. One local favorite spot in Naughtia is Jaycee Dog Park. This park has two separate sections: one for dogs under 14 inches when they are standing on their hind legs, and another for bigger dogs. The off-leash park doesn't have a lot of shade, so if you're visiting on a hot day, be sure to bring plenty of water and consider visiting when the sun isn't at its peak. You and your beloved pet will get a kick out of meeting all the friendly people and dogs in town!
Kings Park
Kings Park
Kings Park is an exciting and mostly walkable neighborhood in central Saint Cloud. If you're in the area and looking for a delicious place to eat where your pet can join you, give Granite City Food & Brewery a try. Granite City is a nickname for Saint Cloud, and this restaurant honors the city's history. They have several (25 to be exact!) dog-friendly tables. Fido can lounge by your side while you dig into signature dishes like their BBQ pork nachos or their maple pepper bacon burgers. Wash your meal down with a refreshing microbrewed beer made using their patented brewing process.
North Sartell
North Sartell
Just a 15-minute drive from Saint Cloud will get you to Sartell, Minnesota, a city with over 17,000 residents. In North Sartell, there is a large, fenced-in, off-leash park within a larger park called Pinecone Central Park. This four-acre park has separate sections for dogs of different sizes, and the surrounding parkland has sports fields and concession stands. The dog park portion of the park was only built in 2015, but it has quickly become a local favorite place. There is something to do here for the whole family, and this park definitely worth the quick trip from Saint Cloud.
