Murphy is a community of fewer than 10,000 people, and most of the area is residential. There is one animal hospital in town to care for your furry family members' needs. Because Murphy is mostly a residential community, folks head three miles up the road to the city of Fenton to do their shopping and enjoy recreational areas. Fenton is a dog-friendly place, so it's a great city for dog-owners to live near. Fenton has nine public parks where leashed dogs are welcome. The Meramec Greenway is a linear park that follows the Meramec River, and this scenic park is a perfect hiking spot for a person with their dog in tow. It offers a five-mile, paved walking trail with plenty of places to sit and take a break. Fenton set aside 125 acres to for the Fabick Nature Preserve. The preserve has a nearly two-mile long trail that you and your dog can enjoy together.

A person dining with a four-legged companion is welcome at one of the outdoor tables. Que Pasa can be found at 1165 Gravois Road. Another Mexican restaurant, 3 Margaritas, is located at 69 Fenton Plaza. This restaurant has four outdoor tables for dog-friendly dining. Holland Cafe and Meats is located at 40 New Sugar Creek Road. Holland Cafe is situated near Murphy. The restaurant has two dog-friendly outdoor tables. Holland Cafe serves a variety of chicken and beef entrees, as well as burgers and sandwiches. Murphy has everything a dog owner could want located only a bone's throw away!
