“Strong, compassionate walker”

My name is Sarah. I'm a young professional with a profound love of dogs. I've been dog sitting for friends, coworkers, and people in the St Louis area for about 3 years now, and I volunteer at a local animal shelter as a dog walker. Hi, I'm Jim. I grew up with dogs and have always enjoyed their company. I understand that my clients consider their pets as family. Each dog has it's own personality and I love spending time with them. I could also use the exercise. I've volunteered at animal shelters and haven't met a doggo I didn't like.

“A walk is always better with a fur baby or 2 or 3.”

I have always had a dog in my life. I love taking the 2 I have for walks but I also like to get extra walking time in for my own exercise and it is always more fun to have a fur baby with you on the adventure.

“Fur babies are the best!!”

I love animals and have always been around them. I grew up around dogs, cats, snakes, horses and small pets. I currently have a spoiled 8 1/2 year old pitbull named Rio that I have raised from a puppy and I also have a 1 1/2 year old Rottweiler named Loki that I also raised from a puppy. “Less like dog whisperer, more like genuine spirit!”

I was the sole caretaker with my huge Golden Retriever, Oliver, walking him every day, working on training, and even wrangling him in the bathtub! Now that I have my own thriving doggy business since Jan 2019, my besties and I are never bored again! Days I'm available, I'd absolutely cherish time with yours! I feel so blessed that dogs of all breeds and sizes feel immediately comfortable in my presence, and out of the 500+ walks I've taken for Wag, only 1 time was I unable to gain a pup's trust!

“Understanding”

I have always loved animals. I do not have a favorite pet. I actually found the love of animals from bringing in strays as a child and going through various training for Veterinary Ass/Tech positions. I really can't wait to provide an essential need for your pet. I have my own critters so I understand how important their care is to an owner/ pet parent.

Dog Walking in Kirkwood

Kirkwood has a historic small-town charm that includes dogs in its picture of Americana.  There are many amenities for both residents and visitors with dogs. Kirkwood has five veterinary clinics providing routine and emergency care to resident and visiting dogs. Hopefully, you won't need to avail of any of their services while you're here, but it's good to know just in case.

Kirkwood has fourteen city parks. The Kirkwood City Park is home to Walker Lake, a popular fishing spot. A paved walkway around the lake is never without a person and a leashed dog. Emmenegger Nature Park and Possum Woods Conservation have over 100 acres of woods, open spaces, and outdoor activities for people with a pup to visit. There are three hiking trails through some lush forest for a person and a leashed pup to explore. One trail is accessible for people with disabilities and is an easy loop trail about .5 miles long. Two others are more difficult. Dogs must be on no more than a six foot leash when visiting these parks. The Meramec River adds to the scenic beauty of these preserved tracts of wilderness which are cradled by the busy civilization of St. Louis County.
