Kirkwood is a neighbor of Huntleigh, and is home to a pawesome dog park: Treecourt Unleashed Adventure Dog Park. This private dog park has nine acres that are fully fenced for a dog’s freedom and fun. There is a separate area for small dogs, too. This expansive natural terrain is peppered with trees throughout the dog park. A little creek crosses through the dog park, and is the perfect place for your pup to dip his paws on a hot summer day. There are kiddie pools for some extra splashing. The human companions have plenty of benches under shade trees from which to supervise or just enjoy their pup having fun. Dogs must pass a temperament test before being allowed to use the dog park.

Sunset Hills

Five miles south of Huntleigh, you'll find Kitun Dog Park on Eddie and Park Road. It has an acre of prime real estate for dogs to call their own. Agility equipment makes it even more like their own playground. Small dogs have their separate safe space, too. The dog park makes sure dogs and their people have a drinking fountain that works for each of them. Benches let the human companions watch their pups from a comfortable spot in some shade. Doggie waste baggies are supplied by the dog park, so all you need to bring is Fido's favorite toy. This members-only dog park is open from sunrise to sunset. Registration and fees are payable at the city of Sunset Hills.

University City

Just eight miles west of Huntleigh, you'll find University City, home to the University City Off Leash Dog Park. This city dog park is a fully fenced, mostly grassy enclosure. A separate section fenced off for the small dogs gives them a safe place to play. This dog park has all the fun stuff a dog park should have. Locals love this park, so your pup won’t have to go far to find a new buddy to sniff. There are plenty of seats for the pet parents, and dogs are treated to a few shared toys and a kiddie pool or two in the summer. This dog park is operated by University City. Registration and fees must be paid prior to use.

St Louis Hills

The muttropolis of St. Louis is home to a park "where pups will have a barking good time", according to Southwest City Dog Park's official website. This dog park is located within Willmore Park, just 10 miles from Huntleigh. This dog park has over an acre fully fenced for dogs to play sans leash. There is a separate area for the small dogs, too. This dog park has pieces of agility equipment, and kiddie pools are a nice addition in the summer months. Drinking water is available on-site, and doggie waste baggies are always well-stocked. Dogs can watch their humans relax on a bench beside a shade tree, or can pose with them for another adorable picture with a new furry pal. This dog park is a membership-only park.

Ellisville

Ellisville is ten miles west of Huntleigh. Ellisville Dog Park at Bluebird Park is a fully fenced dog park for residents of the city of Ellisville. This dog park has a large dog section that encompasses a quarter of an acre. Its small dog section is about a tenth of an acre. This new dog park has water on-site, and there are numerous places for the human companions to sit and watch their pooch play. The main park has some green spaces that are great for on-leash walking. Picnic tables and pavilions make a planned lunch with a furry friend a wonderful idea for a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. City of Ellisville residents must register and pay a fee before visiting the dog park.
