Sunset Hills is one of many municipalities that make up the greater St. Louis metropolitan area.  It is located in south St. Louis County, and it is mostly a residential community. Residents of Sunset Hills have dogs, and there are many activities designed for people with dogs. There are three veterinary clinics within the city's boundaries which provide both routine and emergency care to all the pets that live there. Some of them veterinary practices here provide other services in addition to veterinary care, so be sure to check out the practice's website or speak with someone to learn more.

One of the main attractions of Sunset Hills is Laumeier Sculpure Park located at 12580 Rott Road.  Laumeier has over 100 acres, and features several artistic sculptures of mostly a modern design.  Laumeier is a favorite site for summer activities, and its flowered walkways make it an ideal place for a leashed dog and their person to have an outing together. Up the road from Laumeier is Powder Valley Park with its paved walkways.  It, too, is a favorite place for people with leashed dogs to explore. The indoor activity center at Powder Valley, though, does not permit canine friends.
