Armory Road
The Armory Road neighborhood features the wonderful off-leash Hugh Rogers Wag Dog Park. The park covers over five acres and offers paths, benches and a drinking fountain for the pups. Dogs can run in the open spaces and owners can enjoy walking laps around the 1/3-mile path. Your pooch will get his exercise playing on the agility equipment and socializing with other dogs at the park. If Fido gets his feet dirty, there is a small dog wash station right outside the gate where you can clean up before getting back in the car. With plenty of parking and restrooms in the area, all members of the family will enjoy visiting the park and playing with their canine companion.

Whitefish West
The Fido-friendly Whitefish West neighborhood is a perfect place to spend time with your pampered pooch. Baker Park is a beautiful area with a nice view of the river where you can walk your pup and chat with friends fishing on the dock. The children will enjoy the Kiddie Park, and after exercising with Fido, you can relax on the benches or under the shade of the gazebo. Finish off the day at Sweet Peaks Ice Cream where you can lounge with the family and enjoy a Strawberry Sorbet, and your pup can dive into his very own pup cup.

Wisconsin Ave
The small tree-lined Depot Park in this neighborhood offers a wonderful area to walk your pup and admire the train depot. Shade trees and picnic tables are great when you and your pooch need to rest, and there is an open space where Fido can romp and roll in the grass. Pups are always welcome during the Farmers Market, just be sure to keep Fido on his leash. If you are looking for a quick snack, check out Pig & Olive Crafts where you can sit on the outdoor patio and enjoy a gourmet sandwich and soup. If you and Fido are out exercising in the morning, head over to Montana Coffee Traders and sip a cup of coffee or tea at one of the outdoor tables.

Lion Mountain
When you wannt to spend some quality time with Fido, this neighborhood houses the dog-friendly Whitefish Trail, which can be accessed at the Lion Mountain Trailhead. Featuring miles of scenic overlooks, the trail will get take you deep into prime wildlife territory. Nearby is the Whitefish Lake State Park, a perfect destination for more adventure. Take on more trails, or just stroll around the lake. Extend your time here by camping in the park, which offers tent and RV spaces. You will need to keep Fido on a leash when other people are around, and bring your own doggie waste bags to clean up.

Tally Lake
The Tally Lake Campground is a great place to spend time with your dog and your family. Strolling through 23 acres around the lake and forest offers plenty of exercise, and Fido can frolic in the grass and sniff all the trees and plants. The campground features 40 sites including a beach and boat dock where your pup is welcome on a leash. You will often meet up with other canine lovers out hiking along the one mile trail that leads to a vista and a breathtaking view of the lake. Pack a picnic and relax with your pooch at one of the shaded shelters, and enjoy nature at its finest!
