Experiencing the rustic resort ski town of Whitefish is fun for Fido and the whole family. Located along the edge of Glacier National Park, there are acres of mountains, lakes, and rivers here to explore with your pooch. You will often find other canine lovers walking along the historic depot museum and chatting with friends, or strolling through the shopping district where merchants leave doggie water bowls outside the door.

Making sure Fido is happy and healthy is important. Whitefish offers two veterinarian clinics in town that are committed to providing quality care, including routine immunizations and emergency surgeries. After spending time at the vet, you may want to relax and take your pup to Whitefish Handcrafted Spirits. This unique restaurant offers outdoor dog-friendly seating where you can enjoy a drink and some bison tacos. Another fun destination when you need a snack is the Bonsai Brewing Project. This pub features local brews and burgers, and you and Fido can unwind at the outdoor tables.

If you are just passing through and need a place to sleep, The Firebrand Hotel is located downtown and allows pups to stay in the dog-friendly rooms. Another option is the Downtowner Inn where you can bring two dogs of any size for an additional fee. Just remember that dogs cannot be left alone in the rooms while you are on the ski slopes or shopping. Located near the hotels, you will also find Grouse Mountain Lodge restaurant where you can eat breakfast, lunch or dinner with Fido and the family.
