Near the northern end of the neighborhood lies Apex Nature Park, which features 160 acres of beautiful paths and trails to explore with your dog for some good old fashioned exercise. There’s beautiful woodlands that can be hiked through,paved walkways, sports courts and fields, a playground, and an amphitheater. There is also a dog park inside with 2 acres of fenced and lighted space covered in wood chips for your dog to romp in with other pups! There are separate areas for large and small dogs, and water available. Your dog does need to be registered, and there is a membership fee to enter. Kelly Glen Drive is a lovely area that’s right along the bend of two dog friendly parks. Near the northern area lies Kelly Road Park, with open grass for easy running and playing. The park is dotted with trees and includes covered benches for a break from the heat.
