There’s plenty of outdoor seating, which is dog-friendly, so there’s no need to call ahead to ensure a table is available. If you’re in the mood for something different, how about Thai? The nearby Chef Thai and Sushi Bar offers classic Thai cuisine alongside numerous delicious sushi. Outdoor seating is dog friendly. A leash is required at both restaurants. Bone Appetit!

Concord Mills

If your pup likes making new friends, take him to Concord Mills, where you’ll find Concord Bark Park! This dog park is about 30 minutes from Kannapolis. This spacious bark park has two separate sections: One is for smaller dogs, and the other is for larger dogs. Concord Bark Park offers plenty of seating for pup parents so that you can relax while your dog runs around! Concord Bark Park also has water available for your dog, so you don’t have to worry about him getting overheated. This is an off-leash dog park.

Central Concord

If you’re in the heart of Concord, about 30 minutes away from Kannapolis, and you’re looking for somewhere to grab a quick bite to eat, and you want your dog to dine with you, look no further than Carm’s Café. Carm’s Café, a local favorite, offers delicious soups, salads, and sandwiches, and the restaurant also features an extensive vegetarian menu. Carm’s Café allows Fido to join you at one of their outdoor tables, which are available when the weather is nice enough to dine outside. However, you might want to call ahead to make sure an outdoor table is available; there are only three of them. A leash is required.

Northwest Concord

Want even more options for a place to eat with your canine companion? Northwest Concord is sure to have something you’ll enjoy. Stop by Rosario’s Pizza and grab a delicious slice of pizza, served up New York style. Feeling really hungry? Order a whole pie, and try to resist giving Fido a slice! Your dog can join you at an outdoor table. The Gateway to Athens is a dog-friendly Greek restaurant, with plenty of outdoor-seating where Fido can join you. Northwest Concord has many restaurants where your pooch can dine with you. A leash is required at all restaurants, as is good behavior.

Eastway

If you drive about 30 minutes south of Kannapolis to Charlotte’s Eastway neighborhood, make sure you stop by Barkingham Park. The aptly named Barkingham Park is a dog park located within Reedy Creek Park. Whether your dog is big or small, they’re sure to have a ball! There are two separate areas of the park: one for smaller dogs and another for larger dogs. Water is provided for your pets. Keep in mind that this park can become quite muddy when it rains, so bring along a towel! A leash isn’t required in this dog park.
