If you’re looking for a local trail to take your dog to, look no further! The Island Creek Forest Walk park is only 10 minutes away and a great place for hiking and getting some exercise with your favorite furry friend. You’ll both love the lush green spaces surrounding the trails. Not to mention, it’s also full of wildlife, which makes it a great place for you both to see some of nature’s most beautiful creatures. This is also a great summer camping spot for both you and Fido; it even has places to go swimming! You’ll need to bring a leash along for this adventure to keep your doggo safe on this trail, though.

The best part about this doggone cool place is that you’ll never have to leave Fido alone, because you can order outside from the outdoor bar. You’ll both have a pawsome time and it’ll be a night neither you or your doggo will ever forget!

If you’re looking for a great new hiking spot to explore with your furry other half, look no further! Just a 20-minute drive away, you’ll find the Jacksonville-Camp LeJeune Rails-to-Trails hiking trail. This spot features some seriously beautiful country that you’ll both fall in love with and even some neat little cross-over bridges. Not only is it scenic, but this trail is also 5.2 miles long so you and Fido will get your weekly cardio in for sure! The trail features both paved and unpaved areas as well, which is great for older dogs who have issues running on pavement. So grab your favorite running shoes and get going!

Only 20 minutes away, this neat little restaurant would be delighted to have you and Fido at their outdoor seating area for some delicious seafood meals! This is the perfect spot for a weekend lunch date with Fido if you don’t want to go very far, or just a great place to hit up for lunch on the weekdays with your pupper!

This pawtastic spot also features activities like boating and kayaking in addition to a great shoreline to run up and down. You’ll need your leash for this beach, though.
