My name is Meg and I have owned pups as well as horses my entire life. I love animals and am always looking for opportunities to care for them. I have one dog of my own named Huckleberry who I rescued a year ago. I just recently graduated from Wake Forest University and will be going back to school for my doctorate so I thought this would be a great opportunity to spend time with pups and make some money for school!

Dog Walking in Pilot Mountain
Pilot Mountain, North Carolina is a picturesque town situated in the shadow of the Sauratown Mountains. The original settlers had a hard time cultivating crops here. The soil was too rocky, too infertile, and unable to support the crops. Instead of giving up, they moved up. The first settlers were subsistence farmers. This means that they lived completely off the land. There were no permanent buildings. There were no huge fields of crops. It wasn't until after the Civil War that people began to build structures. The land provided all the things the community needed to thrive. If you want to learn more about the history of the town, take the time to go to the city hall. There, you will find a map of all the important places.
If you want to take on an adventure while you're here, go to the Haunted House. It's open all year long and features different tours based on the season. Your dog and children can attend some tours, while others are for adults only.
