Kernersville
This family-friendly town is located 6 miles southeast of Walkerton and is easily accessible from Highway 421 and N Main Street. Fourth of July Park lets people celebrate every day! This 17-acre space has a skate park, 3 picnic and barbequing shelters, tennis courts, basketball courts, pickle ball courts, walking trails. Best of all, they also have a dog park! Outside of the dog park, pups are allowed to enjoy all the parks amenities on-leash. For off-leash fun, the local dog park provides a small dog pen and a watering station to ensure your pooch’s safety and comfort.

Stanleyville
Just a short 8-mile drive west, the community of Stanleyville is conveniently located off Highway 52 and Old Hollow Road where it offers locals plenty of shopping, dining and entertainment. Happy Hounds at Horizon Park is the local dog park located on the grounds of Horizon Park, giving pups the opportunity to play off-leash in a safe, fenced in space. In the case of an emergency or if it’s just time for a checkup, the local PetSmart has the superior Banfield Pet Hospital on premises! Oak Crest is a family-friendly college town just 8.5 miles south west of Walkertown. Waterfall Field provides open fields and walking paths along Silas Creek where on-leash doggies are welcome!
