City Center
Harvell Park is a perfect place to spend some time walking Fido in the City Center Neighborhood. The park features baseball and softball fields creating a large open space for your pup to run around and enjoy sniffing the grass and wildlife. A playground is available for the children, and there are accessible restrooms for you. Make sure to bring your own “poop bags” and clean up after your pooch to keep the area nice for everyone in the community. The lighted athletic fields make this park an excellent choice for those late-night walks before your pup goes to bed.

Sherwood
The Sherwood neighborhood provides an excellent spot to let your pup run and play. Brentwood Park is over 5 acres of open space ready for your dog! Chasing after a soccer ball on the field can be a fun afternoon, as long as there isn’t a game in play! You can throw a frisbee and spend endless hours playing fetch with your pooch, or take a leisurely stroll in this green space. Remember to bring your own water and bags to dispose of Fido’s “business” to make sure the field stays clean, as there aren’t amenities in this park, just wonderful open land.

N. Main St / Westover Dr
N. Main St / Westover Drive is a friendly neighborhood where pets are often seen walking their parents down the sidewalks on a sunny afternoon. The area is planning to build its own dog park soon in the underused Hedgecock Park, which will be a perfect place for dogs and their owners to socialize. The walking trails around the current park allow Fido to get his exercise and roll in the grass and leaves. For a a good drink, head to nearby The Brewer’s Kettle, where you can sample various beers and wines at their dog friendly outdoor tables. Finding a great pizza is also easy in this neighborhood if you take your pup to Blue Rock Pizza & Tap. Outdoor shaded tables offer a pawtastic atmosphere for spoiled puppies. If you are just passing through, you and your pup are both welcome to stay at Crestwood Suites High Point.

Brentonshire Ln/Cedar Crest Ln
Spend some quality time outdoors with your furtastic family member at Oak Hallow Festival Park located right on Oak Hollow Lake. This 800 acre park is part of the Oak Hollow Park complex, and is perfect for enjoying the lake while sitting on a blanket or playing a game of frisbee with Fido. There are picnic shelters where you can enjoy a snack and a cool drink of water with your pup, and restrooms allowing you to extend your stay. There are also boat rentals and ramps if your pup enjoys boating with you, or you can just spend time walking along the trail around the dam in the middle of the park. The park also houses a stage for live shows, so be sure to check the calendar if your dog is noise sensitive!
N Main St/W Lexington Ave
If you get hungry when in this neighborhood, head over to Sumela. Sample their Turkish and Mediterranean menu while relaxing at one of their outdoor tables with your dog. This neighborhood is conveniently located near the university, and offers two unique getaways for guests and their canine companions. The JL Nichols Inn is a family owned B&B that allows your pup to stay with you for a fee. They offer various rooms inside the main house, and also a private guest cottage. If your pooch is getting restless, take a walk in nearby Triangle Park, a small 1 acre park with green space and a playground.
