Best Dog Neighborhoods in Summerfield
The Brookbank neighborhood is situated in the heart of Summerfield, where you and Fido will have a furtastic time at the local Summerfield Community Park. Splash and play at the park’s two playgrounds or whip up a picnic to enjoy at one of the park’s shady benches and shelters. Paved walking and biking trails are pawptimized for doggy owners, as long as pups are kept on leash and cleaned up after. An outdoor amphitheater is available for community events, in addition to outdoor exercise stations scattered throughout the park for public use. Your pup will have a blast woofin’ in the fresh air of Summerfield!
Summerfield offers you and your pup the pawfect day out exploring its scenic rail trails that connect Summerfield to Greensboro's vast trail system. Wag to the Polo Farms neighborhood south of Summerfield center to join the Atlantic & Yadkin Greenway (also known as the Lake Brandt Greenway). This 7.5 mile rail trail is the pawfect place to go with Fido for a day of picturesque walking, biking, skating, and more! Take a paws as you cross the scenic bridges along the trail to spot native wildlife and migratory birds such as bald eagles and blue herons. Keep your furiendly pup on a leash and watch out for passing mountain bikers!
Wag on over to the Highfill neighborhood in Summerfield for a furtastic day at Summerfield’s Athletic Park. A favorite among the locals, this park is home to several sports fields, a kid’s playground, a concession stand with clean bathrooms, and several multipurpose grassy fields. Fido is more than welcome to join in on the fun in and around the park as long as he is leashed and well-behaved. Try and catch a local ball game and chow down on a saucy hotdog with your pup to enjoy a budget-friendly outdoor activity with your furry friend. Watch out for flying softballs!
Cross the bridge south of Summerfield to enter in the Greensboro area, where you and Fido can spend day at the Bur-Mil Park; a must for every doggoe wanting to stretch a little! This 250 acre park has pawlenty of leafy space for you and your pup to explore. Play golf, rent a bike, swim in the pool, or stroll by Lake Brandt, all of this and more is pawssible at Bur-Mil Park! For pups who love to go mountain biking or just take a hike, wag to the Owls Roost Trail just nearby the park. This trail is for experience hikers as the terrain is a little rugged. Strap up your boots and don’t forget a water bottle!
Wag further south of Summerfield to join the Laurel Park neighborhood in Greensboro.
