Lexington is a family-oriented locale that is conveniently close to Interstate 85 and local shopping and dining establishments. Finch Park provides a multitude of amenities and activities locals can partake in! Picnic tables, a paved walking path that skirts around the edge of the lake, ball fields, basketball court, open-air theater, fishing, and seasonal festivals are all available to enjoy. Leashed dogs are strongly encouraged to visit the park and soak up some sun! Fox Avenue Park, Ball Park, Radcliff Park, and East Street Park are some other local park options you can drag Fido to for an on-leash walk in the Lexington area!

Thomasville
Extremely accessible from Interstate 85, Thomasville is a residential city that has plenty of housing and dining options to choose from! Doak Park is a local skate park that also features sidewalks and open grass areas that allow on-leash dogs to stretch their legs. Veterans Memorial Park comes with playgrounds, basketball court, swimming pool, and walking paths. Leashed pups are invited to stroll the grounds of the park; however, they are not permitted to go in the swimming pool or the area surrounding it. If you and Fido are feeling famished, Sonic Drive-In and Legends Family Restaurant happily cater to four-legged patrons!

This neighborhood offers residents access to local universities, schools, golf courses, parks and cemeteries. Armstrong Park, Washington Terrace Community Center features a ton of fun conveniences like a football field, greenway trail, horseshoe pits, basketball courts, playground, fitness stations, swimming pools, water slides and walkways. Dogs that are supervised and kept on leash are welcomed to enjoy the open spaces and sidewalk areas of the park. Hungry? The Penny Path Café and Crepe Shop, Sumela, and Blue Rock Pizza & Tap cater to pooches and their hungry parents!

Kernersville is a family-oriented locale approximately 6 miles southeast of Walkerton, putting it in close proximity to Highway 421 and N Main Street. Fourth of July Park spans a whopping 17 acres and features tennis courts, basketball courts, picnic and barbequing shelters, tennis courts, pickle ball courts, walking trails, and a local dog park on the property! On-leash dogs are free to appreciate any of the park’s amenities, and off-leash dogs are welcomed to play in the securely gated dog area that includes small and large dog pens and water onsite. Deli on Main, Bistro B and Wine Bar, and Sonic Drive-In love dogs and let them dine outside on their patios!
Winston-Salem
As one of the bigger cities in North Carolina, Winston-Salem has a ton of history and shopping only 30 miles from Fullerdale. The Old Winston Social Club loves dogs! They allow dogs inside the actual building where your pooch can watch you monkey around playing darts, plink or shuffleboard!
