Grafton
Ready for an outdoor excursion? Take your pawtastic pup to the Grafton Pond Reservation in the town of Grafton, south of Enfield. This area is dedicated to nature lovers and is home to nesting Loons. Spectacular scenery exists here on the 300-acre Grafton lake, where you can take a kayak or canoe out to the small islands on the lake to explore. You are welcome to swim with your pup or try your hand at bass fishing. A short ½-mile trail heads to an overlook of Mt. Cardigan! Take a picnic and eat on one of the many large, flat rocks.

Canaan
Mascoma State Forest is located in the town of Canaan, northeast of Enfield. It is a great place to take your pup hiking on its 4.2-mile trail along the Mascoma River. Let Fido cool himself in the flowing water in the summer! Or try Bear Pond Natural Area that covers a whopping 900 acres, and is home to a number of rare plant species, beautiful rock outcroppings, and 65 acres of bird-loving wetlands! Hike the many trails throughout with your pup for a full day of fun. Be sure to pack plenty of water to share!

Grantham
Grantham is a town south of Enfield and home to lots of places to take your pawtastic friend! Sports-lovers can head to Grantham Recreational Park and catch a ball game! When you and your pup are ready for some hiking adventures, check out the Grantham Mountain Trail’s short hike, full of beautiful scenery and perfect for an elderly or young pup! For a longer hike, Brookside Park is the place to be. The extensive trails lead past the Cascade Waterfall, through beautiful apple orchards, and over wooded foot bridges on its 20 acres.

Lower Shaker Village
The Lower Shaker Village neighborhood, in the town of Enfield, is home to the Enfield Wildlife Management Area. This property covers 1096 acres of outdoor bliss for you and your pup to enjoy. Hike through an extensive selection of trails, for all skill levels to the upper fields scenic overlook of nearby Mascoma Lake, or past the maples trees that provide sap for making maple syrup! Visit the 70 acres of meadows and the 1000 acres of woods that are fun to wander through. Pups are allowed here off leash, so be sure to pack a picnic lunch to share!
Upper Shaker Village
Upper Shaker Village is a neighborhood in the town of Enfield. Get your pup ready for some off-leash fun and head over to Shaker Field Dog Park! This park is perfect for either small or large dogs with separate fenced-in areas for each. Your pup will enjoy romping with the gang on their spacious, grassy areas. There is a volunteer ambassador at the park ready to keep the peace, and the local tennis club donates used balls here so there is more fun to go around than most pups can stand! Bring water, but clean-up receptacles are provided!
