Hi there, Christopher here. For the past 14 years I've had the pleasure and unforgettable experience of taking care of two puffballs. As I'm sure you already know, it's something quite special and unique. So if you would kindly allow me the opportunity, I'd very much like to meet your own furry friend. I promise to be responsible and give them a fun and healthy walk. See you soon!

“Dog Tested, Owner Approved”
As a child, I was firmly a cat person and thought dogs were terrifying - but then we got one! Marla helped show me that the line between cat and dog lovers is meant to be blurred. While cats are still the only animal I have tattooed on my skin, the many dogs I've taken care of will always have a special place in my heart. But don't worry, there's still plenty of room left for your furry buddy too!

In Suffolk County, New York, you’ll find the pleasant little town of Center Moriches. A nice getaway from the hustle and bustle of most of New York, Center Moriches is a must-see location on your doggy to-do list. While there aren’t many dog-friendly establishments in Center Moriches proper, just make a venture into the surrounding area and you’ll see why this is a good place to start.
Make your way to Sayville, for example, and stop in to the Cull House, a dog-friendly restaurant that serves a number of fresh seafood dishes. Your dog isn’t just welcome here; you’re encouraged to bring Fido along to enjoy the outdoor seating deck! Your precious pooch will even be provided with their very own water bowl, so all you need to worry about is filling your gut! While you’re there, though, you may want to bring some treats for your pup as well. You wouldn’t want them to miss out on the opportunity to sneak some goodies; they are the star of the show, after all. With the delicious scent of freshly cooked seafood, your salty sea dog will surely be salivating.
Dog-friendly fun is never far from Center Moriches!
In lovely Riverhead, just a skip and a hop away, you’d be doggone crazy to miss Tweeds Restaurant and Buffalo Bar! Serving buffalo meat in a classic pub setting, your dog is sure to want to steal a bite of your yummy buffalo burger. To wash it down, Tweeds provides a heaping bowl of fresh and cool water for your pup -- just call ahead of time to let them know you're coming! The outdoor dining area is covered with twinkling lights and umbrellas, making it an absolutely wonderful setting for you and your precious pup pal to have a nice and relaxing evening together.
If you happen to find yourself in the southern section of Middle Island, be sure to put the Prosser Pines Loop Trail on your doggy to-do list. Only around a mile long, the short length does nothing to detract from the beauty of this location. It’s a wonderfully outdoorsy area to take your pup on a leashed walk, with scenic views and beautiful pines looming at every turn. Just be sure to bring some water for your precious pup, as well as some doggy waste bags to clean up after Fido. You’re bound to have a howling good time here!
Scoot your pooch to Mattituck, and while you’re there, be sure to venture down to Sound Avenue, just off of which you’ll find Macari Vineyards. Rated highly by tourists and locals alike, employees at Macari are always friendly to well-behaved dogs, and genuinely enjoy their presence! Enjoy some time on the outdoor patio, and you’ll be brought a cup of water for your distinguished doggy to drink from. While you’re there, maybe you’ll all make some new friends while sampling the delicious offerings Macari Vineyards supplies. A must-see destination for any discerning dog lover, you can’t go wrong here!
Make your way to Fire Island, a lovely sandy beach area where you and your dog are welcome to walk the 7-mile trail that makes up Otis Pike at Fire Island Trail. A relatively easy trail to walk if you have the energy, it takes around three hours to finish, and your dog will enjoy splashing around in the tides and digging in that soft sand. You’ll need to keep your pup leashed at all times, and be sure to bring plenty of water and doggy waste bags. Keeping this place pristine for the next pup is top priority.
If you’ve had a busy day and just want to wind down with a delicious meal for you and your pup, bring along some treats and a water bowl and make your way down to the Maple Tree BBQ smokehouse in West Riverhead. With breathtaking views looking out on the river, you and your dog are sure to enjoy the outdoor deck which utilizes these views to the highest extent. The food at this smokehouse is out of this world delicious, and the scent of that smoked meat will have your dog aching for a taste. Maybe just a little bite….
