Small-town living often comes with rural charm, with is ever-present in Bolivar, OH. Tucked alongside the raging Tuscarawas River, named for the county encompassing Bolivar, this little village welcomes visitors and new residents, even the furry and four-legged! A beautiful city rich with history, you are sure to feel right at home within Bolivar. If you and your pets pre-fur the great outdoors to being cooped up inside, Bolivar has a couple of treats for you! 

You won’t find any groomers or pet shops in town, unfortunately, but Bolivar has a quiet appeal, and it is only 15 minutes away from the larger city of Canton. In Bolivar, you’ll find lots of plenty of tree-lined streets to walk down and friendly neighbors that know each other's names!

For a more rugged adventure than a walk around the block, you can head a few miles south to Fort Laurens, Ohio’s only Revolutionary War fort. Here, you’ll find the entrance to the scenic Zoar Valley Trail, which spans over 20 miles through Camp Tuscazoar. The Ohio and Erie Canal Towpath Trail also runs through this historical site, which boasts a whopping 80-mile-long shared-use trail. Pets must remain leashed while on the trails and throughout Bolivar.
