Glen Mills

Glen Mills is a small community with a big appetite. There are several restaurants on the southern end of this community where you can bring your dog for lunch or a snack on a warm day. Pure Bread Deli is a canine-themed sandwich spot where your dog can join you on their outdoor patio while you eat. You should probably be ready to share, though, since their food is simply barkalicious! Make sure you have plenty of extra doggy waste bags in your bag when you head over to this restaurant, in case your dog needs to take a quick potty break around the building!

Coventry Crossing

Coventry Crossing is a short five-minute drive from Glen Mills, just to the southeast. You will find plenty of room for you and your dog to walk and roam on a warm afternoon together. Edgewood Memorial Park is one such green space where you can enjoy plenty of fun in the sun together with a picnic blanket and some toys. Your dog will love being able to spend some quality time with you while you relax and decompress from a long week. Newlin Grist Mill Park is another local green space that you can visit together if you want a larger area to explore.

Wawa

Wawa is a hub of natural entertainment for dog walkers. You can start your day with an early morning stroll at Chester Creek. This water source is a popular spot for canines and their two-legged escorts. The Natural Lands Natural Preserve is another wonderful destination for you and your dog during the warmer months. The preserve is full of walking paths and hiking trails where leashed pets are welcome to join you as long as you clean up after your pet and keep plenty of waste bags and snacks for the journey. You will also want to keep some dry towels in case your dog finds one of the many streams.

Woods at Sweetwater

Woods at Sweetwater is a lovely neighborhood on the eastern edge of Glen Mills. You will find Ridley Creek State Park is the pawfect place to venture out with your energetic pup on a Saturday morning. You will need to pack your doggy clean up bags and plenty of snacks and water if you plan on spending a lot of time in the park. If you want to go for a hike on the more challenging paths, you will want to put a harness on your dog so that she can move on the terrain a bit easier with you.

Westover Farms

Westover Farms is just a short drive to the north of Glen Mills. It is less than twenty minutes from Okehocking Preserve. This natural area welcomes dogs with their humans as long as they wear a leash. You will need to keep your rabies tag with you as well, in case a park ranger requests it on a busy day when the public areas are full of families and other dogs. You will need to pay close attention to posted signs, as dogs may not be permitted on all trails. As long as you have plenty of waste bags and water, you are in for a swell afternoon!
