Hi, I'm Becky! I have lived in Philadelphia for over 15 years. One of my favorite things to do is to explore this awesome city with a dog by my side. I've had dogs and cats my whole life, and don't think I could have it any other way. My current best friend/roommate is George, a 5 year old pit bull/lab mix. I understand that all dogs need discipline and respect, with lots of love and exercise. I'll make sure to always keep all dogs super safe and happy.

I have been walking dogs for 3 years and have been a dog lover my entire life. I grew up with a Standard Poodle named Collette. As an adult, I lived in a house with a lovely brown anxious Aussie. I helped to care for the dog- feeding her, walking her, giving medications, and keeping an eye on her to make sure she stayed out of mischief. We also regularly took in foster dogs of all shapes and sizes. I love getting outside and moving around, so I look forward to meeting and caring for your dog!

“I love dogs!”
Hi! I’m Autumn. I have absolutely loved animals ever since I was a child. I’ve grown up around cats and dogs. For the past 18 years I have been pet sitting for family and friends. I Adopted my Australian cattle dog mix 2 years ago & she is the light of my life!! She’s very high energy so I am used to running with her every single day! Dogs put a smile on my face and I would love nothing more than to return the favor by getting them out of the house for a nice walk and keeping them company!

Chester is located in Delaware County on the west bank of the Delaware River. It was a Swedish settlement until 1682 when William Penn arrived and officially named the town Chester. It just happens to be the oldest city in Pennsylvania. Since Philadelphia is only 30 minutes away, local canines have access to one of the most historical cities in the country. Resident dogs also take comfort knowing Chester has its own veterinary clinic.
If your pooch is in the mood for a nice afternoon walk in the park, Chester’s got you covered. Clip on your dog’s leash and check out Veterans Memorial Park. Take a couple laps around the park’s walking track so your pooch can get his heart rate pumping. After his workout, wander around the grassy fields so he can cool down. This park is home to the community pool, so it’s doggone busy during the hot summer months. If he’s a social pup, he will have plenty of opportunity to meet new two legged friends.
Barry Bridge Park is another furrific walking locale. It’s nestled right on the banks of the Delaware River and has river access and a fishing pier. Once you’re walk is finished, find a bench and enjoy the sights and sounds of the River. No wonder dogs love hanging out in Chester!
If your pooch is itching for a walk, help her scratch that itch by taking her to Ethel Waters Park. Named after Ethel Waters herself, this small park pays tribute to the famous singer and actress who was born in Chester. The park sits right on the banks of Chester Creek and is on the smaller side. Although your pup won’t get a rigorous workout here, she will enjoy a scenic waterfront stroll. Be sure to check out the historical monument that marks the spot where William Penn first landed in the territory of Pennsylvania back in 1682. That’s a woofin’ long time ago!
Chester Park is the town’s largest park. Your pooch will keep plenty busy as he explores this 72-acre green space. Take your leashed pup for a walk or jog around the rolling lawns and through the shade trees. Although it’s located in a busy city, this urban oasis is quiet and great place to enjoy nature. But, walking isn’t the only activity at this park. Locals enjoy the outdoor roller rink, tennis courts, soccer fields, and playgrounds. There are also benches and picnic facilities scattered throughout the park. Be sure to bring clean up bags and water for your furry friend. A trip to this park will definitely make your pup’s day!
Looking for a new place to walk your dog? Upland Park is located in the neighboring community of Upland and is just waiting for your pooch. Clip on her leash and head over for some fun in the sun. Let your pup be the guide as you follow the trails through groves of trees. She can hunt for the perfect stick or try and track a squirrel or two. Picnic benches are tucked away in the wooded areas, so bring a sandwich and a couple biscuits for your pal and paws for a break. The park also features a playground and softball fields.
Taylor Arboretum is just 10 minutes away from Chester. Located in Nether Providence Township, this 30-acre park is part of Widener University. It’s also home to a wide variety of trees and plants. Your pooch can commune with nature as she meanders through the forests and meadows and along Ridley Creek. She’ll discover pawsome places like Anne’s Grotto, Rhododendron Walk, and, of course, the Dogwoods. If she’s in a contemplative mood, be sure to stop by the Meditation Grove. Pick up the self-guided walking tour brochure for information about the flora and fauna. No bones about, this place will make your pup’s tail wag!
Just 20 minutes east of Chester sits the John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge. The main entrance to this expansive preserve is in South Philadelphia. Despite being located right next to Philadelphia International Airport, it is serene and full of wildlife. Fur-tunately, leashed pets are welcome to explore the 10 miles of trails. Follow your pup as he wanders through the freshwater tidal marsh or along Darby Creek. With such amazing scenery, this is a great spot to get some furrific photos with your pup. The refuge is home to raccoons, skunks, rabbits, river otters, and so much more. So keep your eyes peeled for critters!
