If you're visiting Swedesboro with your four-legged companion, the closest -- and one of the best -- off-leash areas nearby is the Dream Park Gloucester County Dog Park. This park is around 5 miles from Swedesboro, in Logan Township. The park is 2.5 acres and has separate zones for small and large doggies. A doggie water fountain and four dog waste stations are provided, so all you need to bring is lots of energy to play! For some summer swimming and splashing, take your dog to the Timber Creek Park. The park is located around 18 miles away from Swedesboro, in Chews. The whole park is 60 acres, and doggies are allowed on the trails on-leash. There is plenty of exploring to do here! If you want a safer option where your pup can run off-leash, there is a 9-acre off-leash area where you can let your dog run freely. The lake is not fenced in, though, so be careful if you have a runner! Bring some drinking water and some waste baggies and get ready for a woof-derful day!

Just a little bit further away, at around 26 miles' distance, is another pawesome park that Fido is sure to love! Schuylkill River Dog Park, as its name suggests, is located along the Schuylkill River and has separate areas for small and large dogs. The park offers a water fountain and a hose so you can clean up your pup before leaving. There are plenty of trees that provide shade as well as benches where doggie parents can rest and relax while they supervise their pups. The park is pretty large and well-maintained, and most of the time, biodegradable poop bags are available. (It's a good idea to bring your own, though, just in case.)
