Lebanon, Pennsylvania is located in beautiful Dutch country, making it a gorgeous place to spend time with your four-legged companion. Lebanon has just over half a dozen parks and natural areas, all of which welcome on-leash dogs. The Union Canal Tunnel and Park are not to miss, as it contains the oldest tunnel of its’ kind in the U.S. and is a designated historical site. The peaceful park has wide-open spaces for enjoying the sunshine, as well as some nature paths through the woods.

Stover’s Dam Park is another excellent choice if you and your pooch are craving a large play space. Covering 153 acres of parkland, there’s also a 23-acre lake. The fitness trail that circles the lake has several “Fitness Stations” which offer the opportunity to do some heart-pumping exercise. These stations could easily be used as agility training equipment for the extra-energetic pooch!

Looking for a special dog-friendly event? Try the Summer events at Coleman Memorial Park, which range from outdoor concerts to independence day celebrations. Large stables and outbuildings remain on this property, so there’s a lot to explore!

Be sure to visit the Snitz Creek Brewery, which has outdoor dog-friendly seating, weather permitting. The brewery regularly offers twelve beers on tap, including six rotating styles, as well as pub food (featuring the famous Lebanon bologna, of course) and weekly specials.
