Hi! Kristine here! I am a self professed dog person. I currently get to love on my two amazing children in their 20's and 3 amazing dogs! I have had a life full of puppy love and doggy kisses! I've been lucky enough to be the human companion to Bear, Barney,Ginger, Tanner, Lexi, Cobaka and Soukie and Titan! I've learned so much from each of them about love, friendship, patience and devotion. I am looking forward to the many wonders your pup will teach me!

Hello! I’m Samantha. I’ve been working with Wag! for about 5 years, and I’m currently working at a vet office here in Massachusetts while going to school to be a vet technician. I’ve had animals all my life, I’ve worked at doggy daycare and I worked at a pet supply store during my gap year as a pet food coach, and as an associate with grooming salon safety training. I’ve worked for Wag in NYC while going to school there and here in southern MA. I can’t wait to meet your furry friend!!

North Kingstown is a moderately populated coastal town in Washington County, Rhode Island. The town is best known as the birthplace of the famous American portraitist named Gilbert Stuart. It's also part of the Providence muttropolitan area, which means you're just a skip and a hop away from all the amenities the state capital has to over. But you won't need to drive out of town to find quality veterinary care; North Kingstown is home to multiple veterinary practices, including a hospital and a clinic, as well as other services.
North Kingstown has a few Fido-friendly hotels where your pup is allowed to stay with you. These include TownePlace Suites Providence North Kingstown and Westgate Watson House. Or, if you're looking for something more budget-friendly, check out the town's AirBnB rentals.
If you and your pooch are craving a plate of delicious cuisine, you'll be spoiled for choice when it comes to pet-friendly eateries in North Kingstown! Have a hankering for some Mexican food? Check out El Tapatio Mexican Restaurant. If you're looking for some light bites, try Jitters Cafe or Great Harvest Bread. Shayna's is also pet-friendly. All restaurants offer dog-friendly outdoor seating.
If you are in the northeastern part of North Kingstown and have your loyal companion by your side, you'd be barking mad to miss Compass Rose Beach! This beach is located near the Quonset State Airport. Dogs are allowed to play and socialize on the beach, but they need to be on-leash at all times. There is a picnic area located next to the beach so you and your hound can chow down or relax. The beach is pretty small, but your dog will have plenty of fun anyway! There is also free parking near the beach. Make sure to bring water and waste baggies to help keep the beach clean for everyone.
John H. Chafee Nature Preserve is another place in North Kingstown that makes for the pawfect hangout with your pup. Here, you can enjoy an activity that few places offer: seasonal seal watching! Looking for something a little less exciting? There are dog-friendly hiking trails that lead to the beach. They are pretty large, well-maintained and can take around 30 minutes to finish. Be aware that there are no trash cans here, so people usually leave their poop bags on the side of the trail and collect them on the way back. Be sure to protect yourself from mosquitoes!
Need to get out of town for a little while? Just 14 miles away is the perfect dog-friendly daycation destination: Sachuest Beach! During the peak season, which is from Memorial Day to Labor Day, you and Fido can only visit this beach from 5 AM to 7:45 AM. During the off-season months, you can visit whenever you want! The beach is pretty wide and the sand is soft and gentle on your fur baby’s paws. Dogs have to be on-leash on this beach at all times. This rule is strictly enforced, and there's even an officer on patrol who tickets dog owners that disobey the leash policy.
Warwick City Dog Park is around 17 miles away from North Kingstown, in East Warwick. If you're searching for a fenced, secure area to let your precious pup play and romp off-leash, look no fur-ther! There are two separate areas in the park: one for large dogs and another one for small pups. The ground is dirt, so we recommend that you bring a towel or cleaning supplies in case your buddy gets a little muddy. The main thing to remember about this park is that the fence isn't very high, so if you have a jumper or a runner, maybe choose another park. Bring your own water and waste bags.
If you're looking for a dog park that's located close to North Kingstown, you'll find one in South Kingstown, just 10 miles away. South Kingstown Dog Park is located in South Kingstown's Wakefield-Peacedale neighborhood. Like most dog parks, this one is securely fenced and features two separate areas. One of the areas is for pups smaller than 30 lbs., and the other one is for doggos larger than 30 lbs. There are grassy areas in the park, and it's mostly shaded thanks to the trees. Pet parents can rest and relax on the benches while they watch their dogs play. Water and bowls are provided here, but you should bring your own poop bags.
