Looking for a pawesome place to go on an on-leash walk with your dog? Head over to Frenchtown Park and Frye Nature Preserve. These connected parks have a total of 2.1 miles of hiking trails. These trails go through wooded areas, and they pass a beautiful stream. You’ll also get to see the remains of historical houses when you're walking on these trails. After your walk in the park, grab lunch with your pup at nearby DiMare Seafood Market. This market and restaurant has dog-friendly outdoor seating, and they serve delicious and fresh lobster, oysters, sea scallops, salmon, king crab, and more.

If you want to spend the day by the water with your pup, this neighborhood is perfect for you. For a great walk, head to Scalloptown Park. Many locals bring their dogs here for walks on the park’s waterside paths. When you’re finished at the park, head to one of the numerous dog-friendly restaurants in the neighborhood. For delicious seafood with a stunning view, check out BLU on the Water. This bayside restaurant has a huge outdoor patio that welcomes dogs. Finn’s Harborside is another good place to go with your pup. This waterfront restaurant serves up tasty dishes made with local seafood, and they’ll happily bring out a water bowl for your dog.

If you want to go to the beach with your furry best friend, head to Compass Rose Beach in North Kingstown. This beach is about seven miles from East Greenwich, and dogs are always welcome on-leash. You can take a nice long walk with your pup on the sand, or you can simply relax and enjoy the sunshine. If you get hungry, there’s a great picnic area right next to the beach. Bring some snacks for yourself and your dog, and have a fun day playing at this beautiful beach. Don't fur-get to bring doggy waste bags so you can clean up after your furry friend.

Wakefield-Peacedale is home to the furtastic off-leash South Kingstown Dog Park. This dog park is 16 miles from East Greenwich, and it has two fenced-in grassy areas: one for dogs that weigh more than 30 pounds and one for dogs that are under 30 pounds. Bring your dog’s water bowl and a few of their favorite toys, and have a fun time playing here. When your pup is all finished playing, bring them over to nearby Saltwater Tavern for a delicious lunch. This tavern has dog-friendly outdoor tables, and they serve an eclectic mix of seafood dishes and southwestern fare.

Haines Park Road

Haines Park Road

This neighborhood is home to the pawesome Barrington Dog Park, which is 25 miles from East Greenwich. Located within Haines Memorial State Park, this dog park has one large field where dogs can play off-leash. There are doggy bags available here, and there are benches for owners to sit on. Be aware that there’s no running water, so you may want to bring a water bowl for your dog. If your pup is still in the mood for a walk after playing at the dog park, take them for a stroll on one of Haines Park’s hiking trails. Dogs are welcome on-leash on these trails.
