Cherrydale
Greenville’s Cherrydale neighborhood is located just outside of Berea, and if you’re looking to have some serious fun with your pooch, head to Red Barn Dog Park! This off-leash dog park isn't the largest in town, but it has plenty of room to let your pup pal enjoy some time with his furry friends. It's also not as pawpular as some of the other dog parks in Greenville, which makes it perfect for a shy or timid pooch. After you've worked up an appetite at the dog park, paw on over to one of the many fast food options in the area to grab some grub before heading home.

Viola Street
Your dog probably enjoys going for a walk. It allows him to socialize with other people and pets, and it also gives him a chance to get in his exercise. If your dog is tired of the same old path, though, why not head to Greenville’s Viola Street neighborhood? It’s only about 15 minutes from Berea, and what makes this neighborhood unique is that it’s all one big scavenger hunt! Eight tiny statues of mice, which were crafted by a local sculptor, are hidden throughout the neighborhood, with a couple venturing into downtown. (There’s your first hint!) Can you find them all? If you visit at the right time, you may even get to jam out to some live music while mouse hunting!

Downtown Greenville
Downtown Greenville is full of fun, and it’s just waiting for you and Fido to come see what it has to offer! Downtown is only 15 minutes from Berea, but it might take you a bit longer to find parking. Once you’re settled, check out O.P. Taylor’s, which is a local toy store where Fido can come play, too. Right next door to that is Mast General Store, which sells everything from candy to clothes to home goods. There are also numerous restaurants and coffee shops downtown where Fido can join you on the patio. It’d be easy to spend a whole day here with your pup, so make sure you don’t miss dinnertime!

Pelham
Pelham Mill Dog Park is located in the Pelham neighborhood of Greenville, which is about 30 minutes from Berea. Your dog will certainly thank you for making the trip, though! This off-leash dog park has plenty of space for your dog to get his exercise, but there’s also agility equipment in the park for more adventurous, energetic dogs. There are separate sections for small and large dogs. Water fountains for Fido are placed throughout the park, and there’s also a waste disposal station in each section, so you don’t have to bring those supplies from home. Have a ball at Pelham Mill!

Payne-Logan
Greenville’s Payne-Logan neighborhood is only about 30 minutes from Berea, and there’s plenty of dog-friendly fun waiting to be had. Falls Park on the Reedy isn’t a dog park, but if you’re looking for somewhere new to walk Fido, this park is a must! It’s pawsitively beautiful! There are also several dog-friendly dining options. Compadre’s Mex-Mex Grill dishes up mouthwatering Mexican dishes, including delicious guacamole. Dog-friendly dining is available on the patio, and if Fido’s being particularly well-behaved, make sure to throw a tortilla chip his way! There are also a few sushi restaurants and taverns in the area.
