Franklin Tennessee is known for its Civil War background and was actually named after Benjamin Franklin in 1799. The city is also known for having many dog-friendly attractions you can enjoy while visiting. Timberland Park has over 70 acres with many trails for every skill level, and has a special trail just for dogs. There is also a picnic area and benches so you can rest while Fido looks for wildlife to play with.

There are also some excellent dog parks in Franklin where you can let Fido off the leash. The most popular is the K-9 Korral Dog Park at Harlinsdale Farm on Franklin Road. This is a large park with a pond and several trails for you to enjoy, and the people and pups are very friendly. Another good one is Freedom Run Dog Park in Liberty Park. It has one acre with separate areas for large and small dogs, and they provide trash cans for picking up after your pooch.

Hungry? Puckett's Boathouse on East Main Street has fish of all kinds and burgers too. Marco's Pizza on Mallory Lane has awesome pizza, huge submarine sandwiches, chicken wings, salads, steaks, and even special food for Fido. Enjoy a beer with a delicious hamburger and cheese tater tots with your furry companion at The Corner Pub on Columbia Avenue. There are also plenty of pet-friendly hotels in the area like LaQuinta Inn and Suites, Aloft Nashville-Cool Springs, Quality Inn and Suites, and the Days Inn. Hope you enjoy your stay!
