Chestnut Bend is a lovely neighborhood with an open community. It’s located around Maggie's Bark Park, a fenced in area for dogs of all shapes and sizes. This park is divided into large dog and small dog sections for your pooches to run and play off leash in a gorgeous natural area. If that isn’t enough, there’s also an agility course to test your dog's physical and mental prowess. Cool down from your visit on the quarter mile walking trail before heading home. West Main Street is a bustling area that’s located just west of downtown. Home to the sizable Jim Warren park, there’s plenty to do for dogs and dog owners alike! Centered around a pond is the park’s walking trail, which winds through the prettiest areas and features gorgeous scenery unmatched anywhere else in the neighborhood. This nearly 60 acre park has plenty of field space for your pup to run, and comes complete with strategically placed shade trees and benches. Be aware that a main road runs through this park, so cars will pass through on occasion. Keep toward the center of the park to avoid traffic.

McKay's Mill is a pleasant neighborhood that lays claim to Liberty Park, a lovely natural area with shaded trails that wind through gorgeous, scenic views. Inside the park itself is another park dubbed Freedom Run Dog Park, an off leash area that’s fenced in so your pups can run to their heart’s content. The park is split into a large and small dog area, with shade predominantly on the small dog side. Located just north is Marcella Vivrette Smith Park, a largely forested area that’s absolutely picturesque. There are nearly nine miles of hiking trails in this park, all shaded by natural trees to make each and every walk pleasant. Little Harpeth River runs through this park, keeping it lush and green. Because of an abundance of wildlife in the area, dogs that are inclined to chase shouldn’t be taken through this park. Be sure to keep your pups leashed, as this area is not fenced in.
