Kingwood

Kingwood, Texas is a small community in Houston just 15 minutes south of New Caney. In western Kingwood, there's a two-acre dog park known as the Kingwood Dog Park, which used to be called the AABY Dog Park. There are sections for big and small dogs in Kingwood Dog Park as well as some agility equipment, seating, and drinking water. There are small pools throughout the park where your dog can cool off, and there are also hoses you can use to clean your dog up before you head home. If you provide proof of your dog's vaccinations, access to this park is free!

Bear Branch

The Woodlands is a large community of more than 120,000 people in northern Houston, and it's about a half-hour drive from New Caney. In the eastern part of The Woodlands, there's a place called Bear Branch Dog Park and you and your pet won't want to miss it! This great park is bigger than two acres, and it has a section for dogs smaller than 25 pounds, as well as a section for bigger dogs. Both sections have seating, shade, waste disposal items, and water for your dog. The rest of Bear Branch Park has amenities like playgrounds, a pool, picnic facilities, and sports fields.

Pundt Park

Spring is another popular community in Houston, and it's only 20 miles from New Caney. Pundt Park is part of the Spring Creek Greenway, which has an almost 10-mile trail where you can walk your dog and enjoy the scenic path. In addition to picnic and fishing facilities, playgrounds, and a canoe launch, the 380-acre Pundt Park also has a dog park. It's known as the Bibi and Mini-Me Bush Dog Park, and it has big and small dog sections, wash stations, benches, and walking trails! The park is open every day from 8 AM to dusk, and it's free to use.

East The Woodlands

There's another excellent dog park in The Woodlands on the eastern limits of the community. Tamarac Park has playgrounds, a skate park, sports fields, a pond, and a pavilion. There is also a dog park within Tamarac Park, and visitors love how much shade there is in the park to keep everyone cool on hot days. There is also water available in the dog park. This park isn't divided into sections for dogs of different sizes, so mind your pup's temperament. This dog park tends to be quiet and clean, and it's located right next to the playground so your human children and furry children can play side by side

Cochran's Crossing

There's yet another dog park in The Woodlands known as Cattail Dog Park, and it's 25 miles from New Caney in the center of the community. Cattail Park has playgrounds, sports fields, picnic facilities, and other great activities your whole family can enjoy. In addition, there's an off-leash dog park with big and small dog sections. There are shaded structures in the dog park and seating for your convenience in Cattail Dog Park. There are even plastic pools and running water for dogs to use to cool off on hot days. The park also provides visitors with doggy waste bags.
