Beach
Treat your canine companion to a walk in Carl Barton Jr. Park. This massive park has something for everyone, whether two legged or four legged. It features nearly two dozen sports fields, playgrounds, and even a fishing pond. Clip on your pup’s leash and walk or jog around the .60 trail. Your pal can also sniff around the grounds in search for sticks and squirrels. Since this is a pup-ular spot, she’ll have plenty of opportunity for socialization. Bring some lunch and eat at one of the picnic tables, or find a spot on the grass near the pond.

Downtown
If your pooch is a history buff, be sure to check out The Lone Star Monument and Historical Park. It’s only 3.5 acres, but it is full to the brim with Texas pride. A circular plaza showcases thirteen flags that flew in the region during the Texan Revolution. There are also large statues of notable Texans. Once your pal gets his fill of history, wander around the park for some exercise. The wooded area is a great place for a stroll. On your way home, stop by Conroe Coffee for an afternoon pick up. Get your drink to go or sit at one of the outdoor pet friendly tables.

McDade Estates
It’s true what they say, a tired dog is a good dog. Help your pup be her best by taking her for a walk in McDade Park. Take a few laps around the half mile jogging path to get her heart rate going. She’ll appreciate the chance to stretch her four legs and enjoy some sunshine. Let her sniff around the grassy fields before taking a water break. After your pup is tuckered out, take advantage of the park’s other amenities. Stay for a game of horseshoes or disc golf. Picnic facilities are also available, so bring a sandwich and hang out for awhile.
