My dogs are usually very energetic and they tend to scare people off because of their excitement. Ashley did amazingly with them! They warmed up to her instantly. Thanks Ashley!

Treat your canine companion to a walk in Carl Barton Jr. Park. This massive park has something for everyone, whether two legged or four legged. It features nearly two dozen sports fields, playgrounds, and even a fishing pond. Clip on your pup’s leash and walk or jog around the .60 trail. Your pal can also sniff around the grounds in search for sticks and squirrels. Since this is a pup-ular spot, she’ll have plenty of opportunity for socialization. Bring some lunch and eat at one of the picnic tables, or find a spot on the grass near the pond.

If your pooch is a history buff, be sure to check out The Lone Star Monument and Historical Park. It’s only 3.5 acres, but it is full to the brim with Texas pride. A circular plaza showcases thirteen flags that flew in the region during the Texan Revolution. There are also large statues of notable Texans. Once your pal gets his fill of history, wander around the park for some exercise. The wooded area is a great place for a stroll. On your way home, stop by Conroe Coffee for an afternoon pick up. Get your drink to go or sit at one of the outdoor pet friendly tables.

It’s true what they say, a tired dog is a good dog. Help your pup be her best by taking her for a walk in McDade Park. Take a few laps around the half mile jogging path to get her heart rate going. She’ll appreciate the chance to stretch her four legs and enjoy some sunshine. Let her sniff around the grassy fields before taking a water break. After your pup is tuckered out, take advantage of the park’s other amenities. Stay for a game of horseshoes or disc golf. Picnic facilities are also available, so bring a sandwich and hang out for awhile.

This neighborhood is home to a couple puptastic parks, so grab a leash and head out for a day of park hopping. Start your adventure at Martin Luther King Jr. Park. Since this park sprawls across 25 acres, your pooch will have plenty of room to explore. Follow the paved walking path, or let your pup lead you around the grassy fields. After your dog has enjoyed all this park has to offer, make your way over to Lewis Park. Although it may be a small neighborhood park, there’s still quite a bit of grassy area for your pal to sniff.

If your pooch is begging for some off leash time, head over to Bear Branch Dog Park inside of the Bear Branch Park in Spring, only a 20 minute drive south of Conroe. This park is the perfect place for running, romping, and playing. Sit back and relax on one of the benches while your canine buddy has the time of his life. Small dogs have their own area, and water is available so make sure your pal doesn't get thirsty. When your pooch is finished playing, head over to the surrounding park’s gardens for a cool down and quiet walk.
