The Schneider Crossroads neighborhood is home to Chantilly’s only off-leash dog park, Rock Hill Dog Park. This popular dog park has separate areas for small and large dogs, and both areas have lots of space for dogs to run around. While your dog is making new friends, you can relax on one of the park’s benches. There’s no water station in the park, so it’s a good idea to bring your pup a water bottle or two. Also, be aware that no food is allowed in the park, including treats. If your pup was a good boy at the park, give them a treat when you’re back in your car!

Willard Road

If you want to go on a puptastic on-leash walk with your dog, head to Flat Lick Stream Valley Park. This park has a paved, flat trail that goes through beautiful wooded areas and passes by the lovely Flat Lick Stream. If you’re hungry after your stroll, take your dog over to Santini’s New York Style Deli for a snack. This casual restaurant has dog-friendly outdoor tables, and they serve sandwiches, subs, salads, hot dogs, and more. Order your dog a piece of sausage or bacon, and enjoy a great meal out with your best friend!

Courthouse Road

For a pawesome off-leash dog run, head to Vienna Dog Park. This dog park is about 10 miles from Chantilly, and it has a large, shady area where your dog can run and play. The park also has lots of agility equipment, including a ramp, hoop, and hurdles. If your dog is thirsty after playing on the equipment, they can get a drink from the park’s doggy water fountain. When your dog is all finished playing, treat them to lunch or a snack at nearby Cenan’s Bakery. This Turkish bakery and deli has four dog-friendly outdoor tables, and they serve delicious sandwiches, freshly baked bread, and scones.

Nauck

Arlington’s Nauck neighborhood is about 21 miles from Chantilly, and it’s home to two pawesome dog parks. Shirlington Dog Park offers separate large and small dog areas, and it has plenty of space for your pup to run and play. There are also doggy water fountains available. Just down the road from Shirlington, you’ll find Fort Barnard Dog Park. This dog park also has separate large and small dog areas, and it has water fountains for your pup. The fun doesn’t have to end here when the sun goes down — Fort Barnard has lights that come on at dusk. Your pup will love both of these great dog parks!

Palmer Drive

This neighborhood in Herndon is home to the furiffic Chandon Dog Park. This dog park is only seven miles from Chantilly, and it includes separate small and large dog areas. There are plenty of trees that keep the park shady and cool on hot summer days, and there are benches for you to sit on while your pup plays. Plus, there’s water available in the dog park for your pup. When your dog is all finished playing, grab lunch at the nearby Potbelly’s Sandwich Shop. This delicious deli has five dog-friendly outdoor tables.
