It’s no secret dogs and parks are a perfect pair. Be your pup’s hero and treat her to an afternoon in Sherando Park. This park spans 330 acres, and has beautiful open spaces and lovely gardens. In addition to a large fishing pond, the park features three hiking trails. Clip on your dog’s leash and head out for some exercise. One of the trails circles the park and clocks in at 1.2 miles. The other two are .4 and .8 miles. You can either take a leisurely stroll or a brisk walk, whatever your pooch is in the mood for. Just be sure to give her a big drink of cold water when you are finished.
