A furrific place to take your fur baby for some exercise is Rose Hill Park on Jones Road in Winchester. This facility has a 1.2-mile walking trail and picnic facilities. Dogs can join you in designated parts of the park if they're on a leash and under control. 

Plan a day of exploring with your four-footed pal at the Shenandoah River Campus at Cool Spring Battlefield, located about 18 miles east of here. This nature facility features paved and natural surface trails through meadows and along the water. You're welcome to bring dogs as long as you keep them on a leash and clean up their waste.
