Dog Friendly Holiday Parades in Philadelphia

Introduction

In an ideal world, your furry friend would be as welcome to festive events as you are. Unfortunately, that's not the case - even if you believe your dog is the most well-behaved pooch on the block. However, if you find yourself getting itchy feet, wanting to take a trip around Philadelphia to see the festive holiday parades and events, then there's no reason why your dog can't attend at least a few. We've included many of the dog-friendly events you will be able to participate in this year.

Christmas Village in Philadelphia

You and your fluffy buddy will never feel more welcome than you do at the Christmas Village in Philadelphia. Your dog can meet Santa Paws, get a photo, and you even get a FREE dog treat while you're there! The Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) will also be on-site to educate and answer any questions you may have.

Holiday Light Show

If you're out and about in the Philidelphia area in the lead-up to Christmas, then you might like to treat the family (and your pooch) to a light show. You can load up your car with your family and friends, then drive the two-mile journey, viewing more than three million lights as you go. This is a not-to-be-missed parade of lights!

Ambler Main Street's Holiday Parade

If your pooch is chomping at the bit to meet Santa Paws, then why not head along to the Ambler Main Street's Holiday Parade? This annual event is a firm favorite on many people's calendars, taking place at the beginning of December. There are always plenty of bands and floats to capture your attention!

At the end of November every year, the annual parade takes place with 40 events, refreshments, and entertainment. Enjoy both theatrical and musical performances that kick off the festive Christmas fun!

Souderton Holiday Parade

Does your pup want to meet Santa Paws? Now's your chance! The Souderton Holiday Parade runs every year in early December, with a parade kicking off at 11 am and a tree lighting ceremony from 6 pm until 8 pm. Treat yourself and your furry friend to music, shopping, and a meet and greet with Santa and Mrs. Claus!

Yardley Olde Fashioned Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting

Want your pup to have a pawsitively pleasant time? A visit to the Yardley Olde Fashioned Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting might be in order! With old-fashioned being the theme, you get to enjoy stepping back in time, watching the parade from Main Street through to Afton Avenue. Afterward, Santa will light the tree before meeting with children (and maybe pets!) at Buttonwood Park pavilion.
