While your pet is showered with love, affection, and all the wonders of a warm home, there are dogs out there that are not as lucky. Strays and abandoned doggos of Chicago need our help to feel loved and cared for, and one of the ways to help them is to drop off some of the much-needed items to the donation centers around the city.
The faithful volunteers at PAWS Chicago are working around the clock to provide love and care for the animals in need, and you can help them this holiday season! They always require supplies, and you can drop off wet or dry puppy or dog food, treats, toys, leashes, ropes and balls, poop bags, and harnesses so that they can take all those wonderful puppers on long walks!
Friendship Pet Food Pantry provides food to the pets of Chicago residents who are struggling with tough times. They do their food distribution circles every third Saturday of the month, and you can help them by donating some of the items they need. You can get them some wet and dry food, stainless steel bowls, toys, and leashes and make another dog happy this Christmas!
Chicago Canine Rescue needs your help! They lack cleaning supplies, disinfectant wipes, powder laundry detergent, paper towels, poop bags, hand sanitizer, potty pads, food, treats, and toys. As far as medicine goes, you can get them some flea and tick preventative meds, heartworm preventatives, vaccines, bandages, and non-latex gloves so they can take proper care of the doggos in need.
The Anti-Cruelty Society is organizing pet food pantries around Chicago to help the animals in need and their owners who have been struck by hardships. By making your donation at Yuletide, you are not only helping this special initiative, but also the spay and neutering of animals, pet behavior training, and of course, helping them stretch their dollar and get some necessary supplies.
Chicago Pet Rescue is all about the adoption! Their mission is to find loving homes for all the lonely pups, and you can help them reach their goal by donating to them! Apart from making a monetary donation, you can bring them supplies such as a snuggle bed, canine de-wormers, chew toys, treats, and “Adopt Me!” bandanas! Play Santa and give the gift of love.
