North Lawai
North Lawai is home to several gorgeous streams that flow through the lush green trees and grass that cover this part of the island. The Poeleele Stream is one of the larger streams that flows through the neighborhood and along some of the dog-friendly housing and even a bed and breakfast that overlooks a wildly beautiful field of brush and trees. North Lawai is mostly wilderness, with a few residential streets to speak of, so it is the pawfect place for dog walkers to take their furry friends on a weekend adventure! Just make sure you bring some waste bags to clean up as you go!36

Central Lawai
Cental Lawai is an amazing place to be a pup if you and your dog love to be by the water. The Hanini Reservoir is a large area surrounded by some walking trails where you and your leashed pup are welcome to explore and enjoy the view of the water together on a nice, clear day. If you plan on walking the paths, be sure to bring some clean-up bags, and try to leave the trails as spotless as they were before you. The Lawai Stream runs right through the middle of town and offers a sight for sore eyes if you and your pup love a good game of splash and sniff on a hot day!24

South Lawai
South Lawai is another pupperific oasis if you and your dog love to explore while getting a good view of some gorgeous water sources. The Kuapale Reservoir is located in this area and makes for a pawfect afternoon stop. You can walk there if you live in the area, or you can drive and pull off into one of the many off-street parking areas -- you will see others doing the same and going for walks with two or four-legged friends together. Aepoalua Reservoir is just a few minutes away and offers a smaller location if you and your pup are looking for a quick relaxing stroll.12

Central Koloa
Just five minutes from Lawai is the town of Koloa. The central part of town is home to two parks that are right next to one another and pawfect for your furry friend. Koloa Park is an open green space with plenty of paths to walk along. Ann Knudsen Park is right next door and is a small area with more scenic views of local rock formations. If you plan on visiting either of these pupperific parks with your dog, make sure you have plenty of waste bags and lots of energy so that you can keep up once your dog gets a sniff of all that green grass!
